There is a point in the gauntlet after which the earlier parts of act 1 and 2 become unavailable forever. So finish up those if you're there
Yeah I really didn't expect that and then went "Ahhh screw it" without remembering there was a pretty major sidequest in Act 2 I hadn't gotten to yet. RIP everyone in the jail, I guess.

As an aside, it'll be interesting to play this game without major bugs in a year or three, because I'm pretty sure a number of events are the results of bugs or stuff that needs to be looked at. I recently rescued literally 90% of a group (by number), and the guy in charge was acting like almost none of them had survived. I also had a hilarious bug where a companion suddenly wanted to do something we'd already done several hours ago, but at least that cleared by me saying "Sure buddy, we'll do that!", and then closing the conversation and speaking to him again, at which point he was normal.

Spike growth plus the enemy AI is absolutely brutal. Currently working my way through the goblin temple, and if the enemy can't get a bead on you otherwise, they absolutely will walk themselves to death going through it.

Was going around murdering the goblin leaders when I guess I set off the whole base. ….

Best bit was when a goblin shoved my figjter into a pit with 2 giant spiders…. That was tense in and out of the pit.

Now that was a good fight.

Then I went for the Drow leader and woof did she not do well.

Very fun.

You're supposed to shove the hobgoblin into the spider pit! It's much more fun, not to mention much easier, that way!

By the way, I just ran a draconic blood sorcerer by Volo in the druid grove today, and when asked about the (non-existant) dragon at the goblin fight, I mentioned that, hey, I have dragon blood! He began to write, "Subject... is obviously deluded... thinks they are a dragon..." Yeah, I'm the deluded one, Volo...

I didnt take jaheira and she charged in and died at the Tower.

I decided to just clear without reloading, and I see shes still dead, is there a way to raise her?

I reloaded, and you can add her as a minion/sidekick, so I really do it the hard way for nothing. -.-

Act 3 is ratcheting everything up. Tension, computer resources ...

Did that too. Eh, Volo is Volo. Still waiting for him to contribute something, since I didn't let him try and pry my skull open.

It's such a prevalent AI issue in many games, where the enemy will chase you endlessly into terrain that is vastly more favorable to you than them. Granted, it's probably more fun than them hanging back in defensive positions until you decide to take action.

X-Com, Cyberpunk, Solasta, and the whole DOS1, DOS2, BG3 line among others.
