D&D 5E "Big Summer Adventure" Drow related? Announcement imminent?

Roughly 80% I would guess, depending on how you draw the line between the "mostly rights" and "spot on". I'm certainly right often enough to feel confident, and my view on other people's success rate is probably coloured by the people who are very insistently and loudly wrong. I expect there are quite a few people who just nod in agreement and move on.
Yeah I could see that if you're apply a fairly low "mostly right" bar and allowing for last-minute diverts (which are often several weeks before so last-minute is unfair) to count. There are always people who have to be loudly wrong lol. It's definitely possible to be more right than wrong if you keep an open mind re predictions and just don't predict when there isn't enough information to say.

As an aside I just realized this site uses either the exact same font or an extremely close relative of the one I used for my AD&D 2E character sheets in the late 1990s lol, for the comments. Can't quite work out which one it is though.

It also depends on what kind of prediction you are making. I'm very confident that the next-but-one book is a dragon themed monster book, the evidence is overwhelming if you fit it together. I'm very confident there isn't going be another setting book for Faerun for the very different reason of the alternative being stupid. As for this adventure, I didn't have the foggiest notion what it was until yesterday. Currently my confidence is low but growing.

Good eye for detail.

My own previous prediction was that the “drow problem” would be addressed either in the new Drizzt trilogy or in a big adventure this year or next, via this plot development (mild spoiler for almost every 5e WotC hardcover adventure and Frostmaiden in particular): the Netherese obelisks would be used to alter the timeline and erase the descent of the drow from history on all worlds. Those things just scream “retcon-enabling plot device invented in order to eliminate major setting elements we no longer want in our settings.”

I’m glad they didn’t go that route, for several reasons. Of course, it remains to be seen whether the route they chose will be handled well and received well, but I’m cautiously optimistic.

There are a couple of names on this forum who have a good track record (you are one, @Parmandur is another), I always listen to what they have to say. Nothing beats a good track record.
For what it's worth, I think your track record is better than mine, as I do get carried by enthusiasm more often. Guessing WotC next moves is fun for me, because theyndo broadcast their next moves, but it takes a little work to decipher the signal, and they are passing decent at misdirection.

I do want them to go there at some point, not for the
plot device
, but just have an adventure there with some over-the-top stuffs.

Edit: I'm totally not good at setting up spoiler stuff.

Time will tell! I think a return to the Demonweb Pits certainly fits with Wizards' MO of namechecking and referencing older classics. As for whether or not Lolth is needed or not, it'll depend on how they weigh the importance of drow as iconic villains vs. the importance of moving away from the evil drow monoculture in its entirety - whether it's enough to just add more drow while keeping the originals in play. I couldn't say which way that arithmetic would play out.

No, Lolth is too Iconic and beloved a villuan and one of the other Dark Seldarine would just take her place if she did die.

No the whole point of this exercise is too keep Lolth and the traditional Drow cultures while appeasing those who want less grim dark Drow options and cultures. This is WotC's compromise and I'm fine with it.

A remake of Queen of the Demonweb Pits is not outside of the realm of possibility!

I've little interest in Drizzt/Drow. So if it's going to be a Drow heavy summer, I guess WoTC has saved me some $....
