I'm not getting my hopes up, but I'm hoping for a surprise reappearance of the primordials. There was one that was basically an immortal fire giant archmage (Balcoth) and another that was a combo of hill, fire, and frost giant (Piranoth).

The minis preview has already confirmed Death Giants, and several Primordials have seen print in 5E (Princes of the Apocalypse & Storm King's Thunder in particular). On top of that, this is being written by James Wyatt, probably, and the Dawn War was his baby. So, get your hopes up: Primordials are pretty likely in here in some capacity.
