Blight Makes Right (DM: TwoHeadsBarking. Judge: Lord Sessadore)

"Of course death is part of the cycle, and there are times it must be dealt for the greater good. A bear fishing in the river is no murderer," Growl retorts. "But that doesn't mean death, or those that feed on decay, are to be glorified."

OOC: If Growl gets killed in the impending fight, I'm going to rebuild him into the new swarm druid class feature from Primal Power. ;)

Adran sighs melodramatically.

"Oh dear! Why is everything we meet intent on killing us? I didn't realise being an adventurer was so ... dangerous. Speaking of dangerous, watch out for the plant - it's carnivorous ... and it walks."

Adran hums to himself for a moment. Then, addressing the druid, he says, "Master Garron, most cultures recognise that death is a part of life. It is only the unbalanced few which seek to deny one of the primal forces of the world. Surely, though, there is a way to find a balance in the struggle of life and death. Can we not work together in this? What say you?"

ooc: Is that a request? Also, would he be a robot who transforms into a swarm of bees, or a swarm of robots, each of which transforms into a bee?

Garron looks at Adran, apparently somewhat startled. "Why, that's quite open-minded of you. Clearly I judged you too soon. Yes, I welcome any assistance you have to offer."

"Adran is right. The Hands of Gods, which we could call druid if I compare to your culture, teach us that life and death are both part of the schema of the gods. As the chosen of the gods, it is our responsibility to make sure the nature stay balance, as it is part of the survival. Fish are eaten by the sea lions. The sea lions are hunted by the polar bears, and the polar bears allow us to feed us, we use there grease for oil lamps, there bones to build tools and there fur to make warm clothing so we can endure the cold night and fresh day of our land.

But when something come to endanger any population, that could be a sahuagin tribe that is fishing all the fish, or the sea lions who become too numerous and eat all the fish and become too strong for the bears to be hunted, we need to take action and make sure the fragile balance of our land to be restored. We kill, and we get killed because we believe that is the important thing to do for our survival, and also because the god have chosen us to be there people and make sure there creation live.

I must tell, here life is bountiful and your people might forgot there role. In the tundra, it is more obvious as life is always surviving. The important thing, it is not to abuse the land, so is the teaching of the Hands of God."

[SBLOCK=OOC]Arcana, Help another on diplomacy (1d20+6=20, 1d20+1=19). The diplomacy might be useless, I am just telling here I'm with Adran point of view.[/SBLOCK]

OOC: Not a request. Just an observation based on the recent release of Primal Power and the appearance that Garron was apparently using it as playtest material. :) I'd ssay a swarm of bees that each transforms into a robot, and can combine into a single giant (i.e., warforged-size) robot form. ;)

"I care not for your gods, bladed one, but your people interest me. Perhaps when I am done here I shall visit them, and see how they live for myself. In my experience, however, it is people who throw order out of balance, regardless of any divine mandate. I'm simply pushing back."

Alek raises his eyebrows at the interesting argument that Adran puts up and looks at the beetles wondering if he knows where they might be from, or what they might do in a fight.

"Maybe you should take a moment to care about them in the futur. People tend to forget that teaching, it's true. My ancestors seems to have forgotten it, so say some members of the Hand, and now Valhyr is under the wrath of the gods. My people in Surtyr haven't forgotten and are still living in peace with the gods and their creation." replies Feyr.
