I promise you it’s every fandom. I’d actually say D&D is kinda mild compared to some of them. The Star Wars fandom on YouTube is way worse.I'm sure there are other genres of YouTube that suffer similar problems and patterns, but D&D/TTRPGs seems to be a perfect storm of lots of people having material to make solid, interesting, and unobjectionable content for a couple years, only to then have to let their channel die off or turn to the dark side of raking non-existant muck for clicks.
Oh yeah, for sure. If I ranked geek fandoms by order of awfulness, D&D doesn't even make it to the Top Five.I promise you it’s every fandom. I’d actually say D&D is kinda mild compared to some of them. The Star Wars fandom on YouTube is way worse.
I for one can't believe the audacity of soviet's reaction to Snarf's reaction to the reactions of others about something something something.I for one am SHOCKED at Snarf Zagyg's latest rant about the scandals with Daggerheart! You won't believe the third one!!!

The five absolute worst (most toxic, most annoying, most unfriendly, etc.) geek fandoms, according to me, are:
5. Star Trek
4. Harry Potter
3. Dr. Who
2. Marvel
1. Star Wars
Well, we were talking about YouTube. People in person are very different. And the list absolutely would not be complete without calling out the Ms. Rachel fandom. You couldn't pay me enough to go to a convention filled with those fans. Because they're all toddlers. Terrible manners and hygiene across the board. I'd hang out with the Bluey crowd, though.
I'll have to take your word for it. I made it halfway through S1:E1 and decided it wasn't for me.Rick and Morty should be on there.
