Bolstering Strike abuse - infinate temporary hitpoints??

My other question is, are you your own Ally. For targeting purposes?

"For example, you CAN'T use a power that says "you can spend a healing surge upon a successful attack," by attacking a bag full of defenseless rats you just so happened to bring along."

LMAO raven.

No. Unlike previous editions of the game you are NOT your own ally.

If an ability says you AND your allies, then, and only then, are you good to go.

Aye, it's very simple and right in the definition of Temporary HP -- they don't stack. You only ever have the amount of Temp HP provided by the highest source. If you have 3 Temp HP and then get hits by a power that provides 5 Temp HP, you now have 5, not 8. The pally in your example will keep giving himself the same X hp over and over again, replacing them each time. No matter how many times he hits the poor fighter, he'll be at Base + X hp, not Base + X*n hp.

You guys are so helpful I really appreciate it. Any reason why Tensors floating disk can't be used as cover or concealment? >>;

Even if it stacked, this strategy wouldn't work. Your friendly paladin (or a bag of rats) aren't real threats, so the power wouldn't work at all.

It floats 1 foot off the growl and is 3 foot in diameter if you want to crawl under it prone by all means do so +1 cover bonus from attacks directly from above, +2 cover against ranged attacks as well maybe, any others would get the prone bonus to hit you that is combat advantage.

Nowhere does it say you can move it vertically, so I would rule that couldn't happen, if a character forces it to change angle (Str versus arcana check maybe?) I'd probably rule it breaks and disapeers 10gp gone down the drain same as if you overloaded it maybe have it change colours as it approaches breaking point or just have the wizard sense it.

I suppose you could toss a sheet over it and hide under the thing, or something like that. Seems like a poor place to hide in most circumstances, though.

Please ignore my floating table. And no, don't touch the table cloth.
