Bone Creature(Book of Vile Darkness template)

First Post
Am I reading this wrong? There are 3 templates listed in the back of the Book of Vile Darkness....the Bone Creature, the Corpse Creature, and the Corrupted. Corpse Creature and Corrupted both say Alignment: evil(any). But Bone Creature doesnt say that anywhere in it. Granted, its the Book of Vile Darkness, so it makes sense that its evil, but it doesnt say it per se...or is there errata on this? Im not finding anything in the book that specifically says it has to be evil.....

For some reason the Bone Creature template is missing its CR and Alignment listings. Its CR adjustment is definitely +1. I imagine since the bone creature retains its intelligence, it turns evil just like the corpse creature, but I haven't been able to find confirmation of this anywhere however. :\

Hi!

As CM wrote: The CR for a creature with the Bone Creature template is: "Same as base creature +1."

As for the alignment: You have to remember that in 3.0 the skeletons were of NN alignment. Monte could've taken that into account, or someone left the alignment for the template out. If you're now playing 3.5 and you're using an undead creature (and not a deathless creature from the BoED) you'll have to use any evil alignment anyway. ;)

Kind regards

P.S.: Remeber to rework the Damage Reduction for 3.5 for the Bone Creature template. It should be 5/bludgeoning.

P.P.S.: The Corpse Creature template is missing two more entries: "Feats: As base creature." (see Monte Cook 2002 @ http://p222.ezboard.com/fokayyourturnfrm4.showMessage?topicID=229.topic ); and Damage Reduction (3.5): 5/slashing.
