Book 11 of The Best Fantasy Series Ever Aproaches!

According to Amazon, Knife Of Dreams, 11th book of The Wheel Of Time series, will be avalible in January! And it will be full of action because:

-according to Jordan there are only 2 books left!

-it is only 624 pages!

And it isn`t like I didn`t enjoy COT, though it wasn`t as awesome as first 5 parts, which I love, it should be treated as one huge book, 10th chapter needs to be a bit slow for the final 2 to rock! All Hail The Great Lord, for soon he will destroy the Will and remake it into his image for all eternity, I can`t wait!

Cool!

Not sure how Jordan is going to fit the rest into two books though. There are still a lot of loose ends. As long as it's nothing like book 10 I'll be happy.

Long time to wait too :(

Has'nt Jordan been saying there are only 2 books left for like the past 3 books? Action? it will problibly be 624 pages of the women looking angry with they're arms crossed, and one will take a bath. I'm glad I never got into WOT. This is just what I read/ hear about it.

  1. Anything up on Amazon at this point is a long way from reliable. Trying to figure out when an WoT book will be done before Jordan has turned in the manuscript is an exercise in futility (and various online communities I participate in will know within days of Jordan turning in the manuscript).
  2. Jordan had said "at least three more books" for a long time (as far as I know, from about post-Book 5 to post-Book 9). Switching to "hopefully two more books" only dates back to post-Book 10. I've said many times that I have no idea how Book 10 could have any impact on the number of Wheel of Time books he needs to complete the series.

GRRR! You criticize this marvelous piece of art only because some people here who are scared of huge books don`t like it?! Begone foul creature or you shall feel my wrath! At least read what you criticize!

I have read it. Well, the first six books. And I have no problem with hue books, being a fan of Stephenson, Martin, and the uncut version of The Stand.

And yet...KenM is right. Jordan may have an epic story he wants to tell, but he needs to learn which parts can be left out. I stopped reading at book six because I stopped caring.

I expect it is more like he criticizes it because he and others find huge books that lack content to be horrifically boring. Call that "fear" if you want.

Hey, I've read the series 3 times. ;)
Face it, Jordan's pretty much a broken record on the whole 'X more books' thind. Plus, Amazon isn't the most accurate of sources.... *remembers when Amazon had August of 2003 as the release date for A Feast for Crows...
 *

I did try to read the first book, hated it, stoped about a quarter way though. I don't think I have a fear of huge books. I have all 3 Song of Ice and Fire, the complete Les Miserables, thats over 1500 pages, the complete 3 musketters is over 1000 pages. So I don't have a fear of large books, I have a fear of boring books where nothing much happens.
