Bow and Ammo Stacking... Flaming?

I don't think so. The bow would put flaming enchantment on the arrow, but placing that enchanment on a weapon twice doesn't double up the power.

I agree that it wouldn't stack. The bow "bestows" its power on the arrow, making it flaming... and flaming doesn't stack with itself. Enhancement bonuses are a specific exception called out by the DMG.

Different enchanments it works fine. Just like having a Flaming, Ice sword. But you cannot have a flaming flaming sword.

There are more wepon enhancement in many expansion books. Or if you are looking for free stuff Caliban I think it was came up with a bunch of really good ones a while ago.

Crothian, I've been wondering if you can indeed have a weapon of frost/flaming. I didn't think you could put both enhancements on a weapon. Of course, going strictly by the rules, there is nothing that says you can't. Did Monte say you could? How about the Sage? I've been having an ongoing debate with another DM about this. We've been tossing around the imbalances of being able to place two elemental damage enhancements on one weapon for a while now.

While frost/flaming may be too much when it comes to suspending disbelief, there's nothing wrong with frost/shock.
