How gutted am I. I have just put the finishing touches to the start of a campaign in the Silver Marches only to find out that a campaign book "Silver Marches" is to be released in the next week or so.

"Why dont you wait until the book comes out?" I hear you all holler. I have had the players breathing down my neck for the last two months to get this sorted, so I have had to get my ass in gear so to speak. Its like the worst timing ever.

The daft thing is when the book comes out I am not gonna be able to use it cause I have had to invent load of stuff which will be solidified when we play next week.

Just thought i wouild moan about it.

It was announced a long, long time ago.

But still - there's no reason at all why you shouldn't go with your version. In fact, that's undoubtedly the better option: you know it better, and it's probably more to your taste than the "official" version.

I don't know where you live, but Silver Marches was released and in stores on Friday the 12th, at least here in the States.

Live in the UK. I think its due out on the 31st.
I have known that it has been due out for a while but as I say the players have been badgering me for ages to get this sorted.(We havent played for a while).

I did much the same with my Rokugan game. I started it off with just Oriental Adventures and I've been adding on ever since. There was little I've had to change or adapt since I only defined the stuff needed for the start of the game. The rest I left hazy and developed more later as needed.
