<throws a bag of American potato chips into the thread, watches the Brits take 1d4 psychic damage>
You can get traditional fish and chips from the Yorkshire County Fish Shop at the UK Epcot Pavilion. When I ate there it was operated by the Harry Ramsden chain.

The chips were OK but not as greasy as my local chippy, which used to offer deep friend Ferrero Rocher.

Now if you were talking about the cake that Subway uses for its rolls, now that might deal me a point or two of damage :-)

I was going to comment on how I am not British but have family and friends there and have driven around there more than your average Brit probably does, but I am afraid that if I do, I will be labeled an "American".

Listen... do the Brits mind if I post in this thread? Both @Morrus and @Waller have gone out of their way to make me feel unwelcome here. The only reason I posted in the first place is because the thread was created, no one responded, and it was getting close to drifting onto the second page. I thought the thread was a nice idea, so I bumped it.

I have zero UK ancestry. My only connection to this part of the world is, as I said, my MIL. I am not a victim of anglophilia, I couldn't care less. But I enjoy good conversations, and learning new things about people. Literally the only reasons I posted anything beyond the first post.

If this thread is just about being clubby, I'll go find something else to do.
I’m from Florida, my dude. And I don’t care where you post.

I guess this is Morrus’ thread but I for one am perfectly happy for you to post here, you’re very welcome.

Londoner here, born in the sound of Bow Bells so very much technically a Cockney. Still live in London, back in North London (near Tottenham). I have an apparently somewhat transatlantic accent a lot of the time (my wife is American) so get accused of being "Canadian" by people trying to place it (the gall!). My brother moved to Australia and now sounds like Clive James did so there's that!
