Broken Bones

So we've established that Broken Bone should only occur one roll out of two million or so*.

But apparently Broken Bone isn't the only status effect that can occur on a critical hit. What is the chance of acquiring *any* negative status effect on any given critical hit?

*Good God man! If your critical hit tables are this exhaustive/detailed, how long do your combats take?

Well, I can't answer for the OP, but in my system, every combat action takes roughly 60 seconds, some of which is description. And under my chart, 70% of hits just have a damage multiplier; the other 30% have some sort of negative effect in addition to wound damage.

Well, for any status effect to occur that would be:

1/20 * 1/4 * 7/20 = 1/229 (for unprotected individuals)

and

1/20 * 1/4 * 3/20 * = 1/533 (for protected individuals)

It doesn't take more than 20 extra seconds on a critical hit. It's just a d% roll after a confirmed nat 20.
