Buffy d20?

Leaving aside the whole debate over 'min/maxing', I would strongly urge anyone interested in running a Buffyverse campaign to get the Eden core rulebook.

It is ... truly great. :)

And just because we have been contrary towards each other this entire thread, I will urge them to wait until the Revised Buffy core book comes out which should be next month. ;)

What characters have stat write-ups in the official Buffy RPG?

Buffy, Willow, Xander, Giles, Spike, Anya, Riley, Oz, Tara, Angel, Cordelia, and Dawn

And they are written up as in the fifth season, or the last season they were on the show.

The revised book should have them from 1-7, it seems.

I want to know how well it works with All Flesh Must Be Eaten, though, particularly the zombies-around-the-world book for AFMBE.

Ya, the revised will be 1-7, and they will be in the Welcome to Sunnydale book so people don't need to buy the revised core book just for the character stats.

While watching reruns of "Angel", I think it's fun to see how handily the supporting characters in that show--Wesley, Gunn, Fred, Cordelia, & Lorne--display the traits of d20M archetypes. Being a team of semi-professional demon hunters rather than just a bunch of high-school chums who grew up together, the writers had to come up with a way for all of the characters to pull their weight in adventures. That's probably a better mdoel to follow if you're doing d20 in the Buffyverse. White-hat, schmite-hat.

True. Gunn = Strong/Tough, Fred = Smart, Wesley = Smart/Dedicated, Cordelia = Charismatic/Dedicated, Lorne = Charismatic.

I'd like to echo that regardless of the system you use, the Buffy RPG core book is an essential purchase. Unisystem is rules-light enough that most of the book is taken up with setting information and other things that will be useful no matter how you play.

Hehe, yeah I'd have different takes on some of those, but that just illustrates the system's flexibility.

In particular, Wesley probably picked up a level or two of Fast somewhere in the third season, where he started "cheating" by using guns. Gotta love a D20M setting where a gun almost amounts to an exotic weapon.
