Building a magic bow?!?!?!?!???

Monster

First Post
I am in the process of figuring out what the best type of bow would be for a Deep Woods Sniper. I am interested in what type of cooool bows have worked for your characters. What types of energy busts have seemed to work best? I think only up to +4 might be allowed.

Example:
Long Bow Composite (+2 str)
Knockback (+1) ---any tried this?
Shock (+1)
Shocking Burst (+2)

well if you have a +1 bow you can have to +9 lvls of enhancements on it.

if you wanted you could have a flaming burst, shocking burst, and icy burst bow ... so far it's +7 ...

make it a wee bit better, mighty +4 (for composite longbow).

spend the money get keen arrows ... and take improved crit as a feat.

What's knockback? That isn't ringing a bell.

For a deepwood sniper, I think +2 screaming, venomios (bothar +1 abilities from MaoF) would be a very good weapon.

Knockback (book of Eldrich might 2) Any creature struck must make a Str check at dc 20 if failed they are knocked back 5 ft. Missle weps. only.

where did you get keen arrows? piercing weapons can't be keen, unless you're a deepwood sniper. I'm not calling you a liar, I'm just wondering where you got them because I'd like to buy them.

Keen has been errated to include piercing weapons.

Edit: You might also notice that he's talking about a deepwood sniper. :)

Sure striking, if it is acceptable for bows. DR sucks for the deepwood sniper, since magic arrows are expensive (unless you have a wizard around).

If it works +1 sure striking, holy, longbow.
I suggest holy as it does better average damage than any burst, even if you have improved crit and no energy resistance.

I know! Make it a +5 Flaming, Shock, Frost, Corrosive, Sonic. That's 5d6 +5 extra damge every hit! That's not including arrows either. Then pay 4000 gold to add True Strike on command. Then you can spend a partial action as often as you want to get a +20 to hit, excellent for sniping!

Not a bad idea. Don't know about that price though.

K, it's in S&F. The Bow of True Arrows, or something. It's actually a little cheaper than that if you take into account the cost of the MCLBow (it has to be a MCLBow).
