It's a shame they decided to drop her Irish accent... it was dead-sexy. I imagine that they did so because some viewers had a hard time understanding her.

I thought it was because it didn't sound particularly convincing. I realize she's British, but it was kind of mouthful to me - like when Californians try REAL HARD to sound like they're Southern.

I love the show.

As far as making Micheal more ruthless/violent, I don't know if it would go with his character, I see him as a thinker type of spy, yes, he is capable but it is how he gets the job done. Also, to me he comes accross as indifferent and professional, which to me is being a bit more badass than ruthless & violent, saw an example of this in the season ender with the Sam bad guy.

It's a fun show, but it's clearly meant for light viewing, because in the last episode Fiona uses a sniper rifle to 'scare' people, and they use a bomb to blow up a bridge so the bad guys with automatic weapons can't 'chase' them.

Whereas D20 Modern players would've fired a rocket onto the deck of the ship, and hulled the boat with the bomb, after first sneaking up and shooting the bad guy leader in the back of the head.

I'm a couple of weeks behind on the show, but I have really enjoyed it. As for Fiona's accent, in the pilot the actress had some trouble keeping it up. I think they just decided to drop it, rather than have her try to keep doing it and not succeeding.

Well, yeah, but that's *always* the case with gamers. Same thing happens to every single action/fantasy/sci-fi/zombie movie I see with my gamer/gun-nut/ex-military friends.

I suspect a lot of the combat strategy in the show is driven more by budgetary concerns (and to a lesser extent, pacing concerns) than by what many people would consider to be optimal/expedient tactics. ;)

Show is a whole lot of fun though. Good to see Bruce back on-screen. :D
