When it comes to close. I had a player end up 4xp short of leveling in my last session. Ironically he had spent 3xp earlier in the session so he would have been only 1xp short if he hadn't cast the spell. Fortunately for him that was at our meal break so by the end of the session he was able to level up.

This is why I have my "Peeps for Eeps" program. Eat a stale Peep, earn an undisclosed amount of xp. the older and staler the Peep, the more XP!

Hey! I love stale Peeps! That means my xp would be great...

Anyway, I have given out a few spare xp in order to let people level on several occasions, and I've been the recipient of a few spare xp in order to go up a level once. So karma works out in the end.

I have also been known to give out xp for things like character backgrounds and creative projects, like sketches in Paint of the monsters the group's fought, that sort of thing.

this past Saturday I had someone whom only needed 15 pts to go up in level.

I considered asking him what he would do for those 15 points as sung with the Klondike Bar commercial.

I gave in with a handful of M&Ms instead. So weak.
