I got my copy on Sunday (10/24) and I have been reading it on and off. I am impressed by the amount of historical information included in the book. I already have a plethora of ideas for adventures. I intend to finish reading the book from cover by Saturday [night] and gm my first 3.5 Masque game on Halloween. I'm looking forward to the adventure. If everyone in the group enjoys it, I'll be starting up a campaign for it.

So it's worth it? I was holding off on purchasing it until I heard some things about it. Does it still have the nifty little city writeups as the 2E set, complete with Forbidden Lore?

I think I'll be sticking with the old boxed set by Bill Connors, and I'm looking forward to James Wyatt's (a prolific 2e Masque writer for DRAGON and DUNGEON back in the day) d20 Past from WotC. I really hope WotC can still include MotRD as a mini-setting in d20 Past - one of the MotRD qabals, the Six-Fingered Hand, made an appearance in the d20 Modern Menace Manual, and it would be nice to see more Masque material from James Wyatt.

I bought it, I like it so far. It seems pretty faithful to the idea of the Red Death setting, though it changes some of the specifics, of course.

I really loved MotRD. I wouldn't mind picking this up, but I haven't seen it yet (because I haven't been to the game store in a while), but I'll be sure to look it over once I do see it.
