Campaign World

Thank You for responses

Hi,

Just wanted to say thank-you for answering my questions and coming up with some suggestions.

I'm currently working on the pdf documents (layout, illustrations and text) for the Player's Guide and the Campaign Guide. As I said before I want to make these look as proffesional as possible before I start on the website itself.

I should point out that although humans (which in my world are actually a tainted race) form a large part of the world they are not its only inhabitants.

Thanks once again.

There are a number of questions I would like to ask, however, if anyone would be kind enough to answer them.

1. Other than humans, my world does not feature the traditional races. Would you be interested in playing in such a world? Would the fact that you couldn't play your favourite race put you off playing?

2. Do you think there are already too many Campaign Worlds out there and that I'd just be wasting my time?

3. Is the d20 system the most widely played? Or would I be better of using another system?

4. Although everything on the website would be freely downloadable I'd still like to protect my product. What would be the best way of accomplishing this?

That's it for now. Thanks for your time.

1 I'd be interested in inspiration, not a new one to actually play in. Human only would not be offputting.

2 No, and no.

3 Yes, and D&D as a base would probably get it the most relevancy for the largest number of people to use.

4 Could go with OGL making all mechanics OGC and designating all flavor stuff (names in particular) as product identity. Read the OGL.
