Campain Setting For N00b DM!

The "World of Whitethorn" series also has mini-campaign settings:

World of Whitethorn 1A: The Hamlet of Thumble

World of Whitethorn 1B: The Village of Oester

I'll also be checking out this Westbrook book. It sounds interesting.

I'll second that. You can't go wrong with the World of Whitehorn. My son used this mini-campaign for his first experience as a DM, and we had a blast.

Greyhawk. Find the Living Greyhawk Gazateer. It's all fluff, no crunch. If you want a slightly more fleshed out location, get the issue of Dungeon with Harby in it.

There has been a wealth of stuff doen for Greyhawk. This is good if you want it, but you're a newbie DM, so don't care. If you want the extras seek them out, if you don't its a fairly complete little world all on it's own.

Normally I'd pimp the Wilderlands from Necromancer/Judges Guild (using the Players Guide, Rorystone Road download and City State Book), but for a new DM probably Vault of Larin Karr or Lost City of Barakus would be better.

On Beggings I could only find one product. Would Scarred Lands be a good Campain? I hear Nightfall talk about it a lot and was wondering what it was about

I heard Scarred Lands was being cancelled. It may be just a rumor.
Dont go the route of the Forgotten Realms unless you want tons of crunch and fluff. It's big, it's been developed for years, and unless you want all that as a new DM, I wouldnt start there. I have been running games the Forgotten Realms since its beginning, I love it, but theres alot of stuff to work with.

As far as Necromancer games goes, the bulk of their stuff as of late seems to be Mini-Campaigns and the Wilderlands campaign material.
As a new DM, you couldnt go wrong with any of the above mini-campaigns (modules) that I mentioned.
I should mention that Lost City of Barakus begins at 1st level, The Grey Citadel at 5th, and the Vault of Larrin Kar at 4th. I assume (although maybe incorrectly) you will want to start a new game with 1st level characters, so Barakus might be good for you.
