Can a Warlock use invocations in a grapple?

Where did you see this? I saw the a mention that the somatic components are relatively simple, but I didn't see where it stated that all invocations have a somatic component.

Oh, the mention under Weapon and Armor Proficiencies for the Warlock is enough for me, and enough for my players in game. However, I have one player who likes to debate these things outside of game, and I'd like to have something ironclad. The quote you mentioned above is as ironclad as it gets, but I couldn't find it.

But even Warlocks can use their invocations in a grapple (well, once per day with Sudden Still ), and then they still have to concentrate as with spellcasting in a grapple (DC 20+SL).

Sudden Still and other metamagic feats do not work with spell-like abilities, so single-classed Warlocks cannot use them.

The fact that it expressly states that the somatic components are simple enough that they're not hindered by light armor, but are restricted by anything heavier says that there are somatic components.


I don't understand how there's any confusion on the matter.
