Can good clerics use evil spells from scrolls?

So you feel that the word 'spells' appearing in a class feature can mean 'spells deriving from this class' or 'all spells cast by the character', with nothing to distinguish which is intended?

That seems awfully sloppy of them.
I've edited your quote to show which part of the question I would answer 'yes' to. The last part is an unsubstantiated qualification that you've added, which also explains your following sentence. Yes, if there's nothing to signify what spells are part of the given rule, then it could be considered sloppy.

Here's a question for you. I have a cleric with the Good domain. If I prepare all my first level slots as protection from evil, can I do any spontaneous casting?

Sure - only one of them is a Good domain spell, all the rest are Cleric spells.

Not just evil... CE. Do you profess to know what code CE gods will disapprove of their followers breaking?

"the code is more what you'd call 'guidelines' than actual rules" - Barbossa

No, I do not profess any such understanding. But the PHB does.

"A cleric can’t cast spells of an alignment opposed to his own or his deity’s (if he has one)."

Hmm so does than mean LN clerics of St. Cuthbert suddenly stopped being able to cast Evil spells once Dragon #358 came out?
