Actually, skunks are pretty friendly creatures.

We had a problem here in Portland Maine with a skunk living in the park once. It would come and beg food off of people, after all the trick workks for the squirrels, and both squirrels and skunks have bushy taails, so...

The eventually moved the poor thing to a woods, but not before I got a chance to meet it, and yeah, friendly is just about the right to describe that large, balck and white squirrel, ummm, skunk at least. It put its paws right on my knee.

I would use the stat for a cat but give it a ranged touch attach, effects of stinking cloud, no freaking save and a reduction to charisma of -3 getting one point back by bath and/or by day!

I liked Mercules suggestions that they would give the person they spray minuses to their charisma until they can get cleaned.

Regarding skunks, from my expereinces IRL, they are quite clever. And they have very high constitutions. They aren't very strong and have average dex.

Quite right. They are closely related to ferrets. And having had a handful of ferrets as pets, I'm reasonably certain they have a Charm Person ability.

Yup. I too, had ferrets. 7 at once at one point. I love my dog, but I have to say that living my life without ferrets right now, after 9 plus years of having them, is very hard. Someday though, I shall have ferrets again.

Yeah, I used to have a pair of skunks living under my house. They really try to avoid trouble, not start it, and so wouldn't be a problem for most adventurers except for a bad smell passing through. I would give them rabies if you want things to get stinky.

And that is also true to our Skunks around here in Brazil, they look much more to rats than thei northern counterparts, but are friendly and very intelligent...

Just wanted to let you all know that here in Brazil we have a different species of skunk, much less fur, since it is usually hot around here...

And no, we don't live in forests with animals all around us, most of the country is rural, but there are many big cities...
