can someone here stat a skunk?

polecats in the uk are mustelids, in the rural us they are skunks

I never knew that...anyone actually knows how many different species of skunks are there?

I have been wondering, that would help providing a greater realism to game, different regions, different species, same abilities...

2 pages of posts for statting a skunk and many threads go without any replys. These boards are crazy I tell ya.

I would give a -2 CHA mod to anyone sprayed for 3 days or until a wiz cass presi...presid.... whatever that damned spell is.

I would do the initial as a weak stink cloud. I would also level one as a wizard and make one of the PCs its familiar.

Tell that to the festering scar on my face. It was the summer of my thrid year and I saw the pretty kitty under our porch. I crawled down there to pet the "kitty" and it sprayed me right in the face. Screaming in pain I fell forward on top of the skunk and that horrid creature sunk its fangs deep into my cheek. There I was, lying in the dark shadows under the porch, my eyes were burning and my face bleeding and a wild animal was knawing on my flesh. Finally, my mom came and saved me from the savage beast and took me to the hospital where the doctors refused to treat me because of the stink.

This story may not be true, but it could happen. Are your skunks so cute anymore? Well, Are they?

Yes they are!!

Imagine yo were there watching the sun on that marvelous day when a monster with little fur came and almost grabbed you, you barely escaped when he jumped on you and you had to crawl your way out...

By the way I had encounters with skunks when I was about 5 years old and they had taken away my truck, in fact they took it to their nest and I got it back after 3 days...

It was untouched and I wondered if they would play like we do...

That was my infant experience with skunks, I didn't even see them close, since they would run whenever they saw someone...

I've only known one person who got 'skunked', and, well, he deserved it, having shot at the thing with a .22. The skunk had better aim...

A few weeks later the nit wit fired at a grackle, one of maybe 50 in the flock... I don't know if he got the bird he was aiming at, but the rest of the flock sure got him! (He ended up needing stitches, and had to explain that he had been attacked by about fifty little tiny birds... *Cue Hitchcock music*)

Another person I know ended up petting a fat, lazy, curious skunk that came wandering up while he was spending quality time with his cats... My suspicion is that skunk was somebodies pet that had wandered off.

See, here is someone who knows how skunks are charming and docile... I would make a revanloft power check for anyone who killed a skunk, it would receive a big modifier for killing a very docile creature...

I did have a friend trying to trap a racoon or squirrel that was invading his home and he caught a skunk instead. He actually picked up the cage put it in his car and drove it to a forest preserve and let it go, all without getting sprayed. I later found out, it is illegal to drop animals in the forest preserve and actually many animals that get dropped off end up dieing because they do not know the habitat.
