Card Game Chairman Mao

Played this card game yesterday where the players were not allowed to talk about the rules. and new players were not told the rules. and the winner could, apparently change the rules.

Confusing and fun. I had a blast. I wonder if there are any other games like mau.

To learn the game you had to figure it out in play, usually by making mistakes and getting penalties applied. It was a bit like fluxx in that the rules seemed to change, and observers soon learned that when they joined the game the rules changed again.

I think people will either love it or hate it, kinda like with fluxx.

It's actually called Mao (after Chairman Mao).

Heh, I think that was one of the few things explained out right. And I didn't get it correct.

I played this in high school. I always spelled in Mal. Funny.
