I got to play Castle Ravenloft for the first time today. And the second time, the third time and the fourth time. All games lasted 40-60 minutes, and each was with 4 or 5 players.
The game was really, really good. There are 13 scenarios in it (2 solo, 11 for 2-5 players) and there's really a surprising amount of variety in those scenarios.
We got a few rules wrong on reflection, but not really enough to skew our perceptions of the game. Two games we won, two games we lost. It's a fast-playing game that really is a fun dungeon-crawl, with enough chrome to make it very replayable.
A fuller report of our first game can be found on Boardgamegeek: To find the Icon of Ravenloft!
I'm very much looking forward to its proper release, so I can get my copy and play a lot more games with it. With such a good engine, I'm really excited to see what the second game in the series will be like!
Cheers!
