Castle Yggsburgh used with D&D?

Author's copies usually come months after publication IME.

That's terrible! So some schmuck in East Bumblecrap, Texas, gets to read Cutter XXIII's great editing while he's got to sit on the ice in Greenland waiting for his copy?

Gah! Gary Gygax must rolling over in his grave ...

Someone on some other board posted that they had heard Yggsburgh was actually based on Stoink in the Bandit Kingdoms, rather than Greyhawk. Don't know or care if this is true, but just thought I'd pass it along.

Yeah, my impression was that "Greyhawk City" now cleverly referred to as "Dunnfalcon" (or something to that effect) is a bit "off map" to the north. So if you were to want to put this in the old Greyhawk campaign, it'd be in the region between Greyhawk and the Wild Coast.

I'm very much looking forward to gettting my mits on this, by the way. Think I'll go check on the delivery status at my FLGS this lunch hour.

Cutter's copy went out this morning with the first mail out. Gary has not received his copy yet though :) unless Alex remembered to bring it up to him. I doubt that happened though as he left all his LA material and stuff in the booth upon exit.

aah well, what can ya do.

I'm sure going to buy it.

As for compatibility with D&D, I'm thinking this is the City of Greyhawk as its master intended, with the names changed to protect the innocent.

No, Yggsburgh is a new town, not the GH-equivalent, which is, IIRC, named DunFalcon.

The right city with off-brand rules is probably better than an official but lame version of the city with the official rules.

Hopefully, yes, if we do see it....

Davis, holler at me if you want to get in on our fresh game of WFRP beginning in two weeks. If you dont have time, then we will have fun without you ;)

Nope, Stoink's a completely separate project (and a long-lost one, too, alas).
