Casual magic focused god

I am currently making a mystic theurge and have run into a problem. As far as I can tell, it only makes sense for my character to worship a god of magic. Unfortunately, I am looking more towards the neutral end of the chart. Not evil, not good. I looked into Baccob but I found one problem; his clerics tend to be distant with the common populous. To sum it up, I need a god who A) is a god of magic B) dosen't spawn aloof or arrogant clerics and C) isn't obsessive about an alignment. Any suggestions?

Lirr?

She's the goddess of art and poetry, but Magic is one of her domains.

She's Chaotic Good. Play that as you will (i.e. not caring about alignment).

If this is Greyhawk then Lirr (CG goddess of art), Wee Jas (LN Goddess of Magic), Ye'Cind (CG God of Music), and Zagyg (CN God of Magic and Zaniness). Personally I'd go with the mad archmage Zagyg as he's a throwback to an earlier era.

Just because you worship The Uncaring One doesn't mean you have to be uncaring. On the other hand, you could just invent a god with your DM that fits your needs.

The DM doesn't let me make my gods any more. Not after I statted up a new god called Deeim. (say it out loud). He was an uncaring god who enjoyed putting his followers into situations where if they make a mistake they died.
