CbP - Discussion

Well, D&D dragons do have elemental ties. ;) But I won't force it into your game, don't worry. :D

Naming our current critter seems to go rather slow. I think it is safe to say that this won't be the case with the next one. ;)

On the topic of dragons, I have restarted my conversion thread (and finished the amber dragon), you can find the thread here, including a link to the recently converted amber. I am currently looking for suggestions on what I should convert next, the choice currently stands between the Electrum,, Jacinth, and Pearl dragons, but I will consider other dragons as well, if the requestee provides me with their 2E stats. :D

Aaah... the final final version! :D Looks great, KO.

If the Rift Attack fails, do we need to specify in which squares the opponents wind up? (Normally, you can't end your turn in the same square as another creature, but that might be moot for incorporeal creatures.)

You also forgot to boldify the entry for "Astral Wind (Ex)". :p

Thanks for all the effort you've put into this, by the way. Much appreciated!

What does the future hold for these "creatures by poll" anyway? Do they wind up being published anywhere? Perhaps a small free pdf collection of monsters through CMG or EN Publishing? If they can do it with the Cooperative Dungeons...

I'd say they should wind up in an adjacent square.

Will fix that.

Most of them are posted on Blacksway's site, but that may be a bit problematic for our dragon. One of them, the Riptide Horror, ended up in the Tome of Horrors 2, but I don't know if Scott would do that for someone outside the CC crew (the original concept came from BOZ).

1) Nope never again. Perhaps if the process was refined, maybe. I stayed out of this one.

2) I'll always check out the CbP, you have my votes.

3) I am interested... Tell us more...

4) Sorry but I couldn't. Not enough time.

5)We need to shy away from the more common creatures, there are lots of dragons why couldn't we do a lesser dragon. But the ones that have found new niches are excellent, well done Otu.

Well, it's not fully refined yet, but it would likely start with a naming poll, and involve fewer steps than the CbPs we've had until now.

I have the feeling I'll be stuck in this position for quite some time. :p

Well, at the time, it seemed like a good idea. :o

Well, I think I have a plan now.

Some of you may have noted that my recent monsters where inspired by Seventh Sanctum, either from the Dark Minions Generator, or from the Monster Generator. I'll give you 15 monster names to vote on, created by the generator in question, and we'll do the 5 highest ranking ones in order. 10 of the names come from the monster generator, 5 from the dark minions generator.

Based on the name, we're gathering concepts, including size and alignment. I think about doing this via e-mail. Once we have a nice number of concepts, we'll go on with the concept poll. After that, we'll have the Abilities/Attributes poll, and then we'll finalize it in a final discussion.

Some of the names generated by the Generators can be quite odd. If one of those comes up, I'll accept minor clean-ups with the concept submission, as long as the original meaning remains reasonably intact. This also goes for misspelled words.

Some of the Dark Minions will have a Lord or Place listed. If one of those comes up, we'll also work on that one, but not in as much detail.

Sounds good?

Alot of those seem too silly for me, but if you clean them up....

By email do you mean we email you with the votes or what?
