CB's Grim Frequencies IC -- COMPLETE

OOC: Does Officer 2 have a name tag? Cyril would call him by his name.

"Yes, a motion picture! A film, good sir!" Cyril enthused, pleased that the police officer was so chummy. "It's such a strange story. After the critical success, but financial disaster, of my last film, I was forced to find work as a menial laborer at the church here... carpentry skills from my time in the theater... and inspiration struck! Born Again Alien! A sci-fi horror flick involving faith and extraterrestrial invasion. Even better, my fellow workers turned out to being quite the thespians! So naturally, with our live-in status at the church, I talked the rest of the gang into doing the movie on our off time. My buddy Chucky is an amazing effects guy out of Terre Haute. You've got to see the dead alien prop he came up with, it's amazing!"

Figuring he had as many hooks in as he could get, he asked, "Where's your partner? We've got to get all this cleared up. I'm really sorry about all the confusion. There's got to be more important things for you guys to be doing."

J.R. with his hands still behind his head watches as Cyril completely suckers the cop with the false story.

He audibly clears his throat and looks at the cop,

"Yinz want me to stay put? Or can I giddup?"

"Shut up, lady! Get the hell down, and shut the f--- up. Miller! Get down here! MILLER!" Jenks hollered from the basement.

In the hallway outside the kitchen, Cyril couldn't tell whether Officer 2 had a name tag--like Jenks, he wore a field jacket over his blues--but Cyril figured it out when the cop in the basement started hollering for "Miller." Officer Miller stared dazedly at Cyril, nodding at the ex-lawyer's explication. "Rad, man! Aliens vs. God! Who wins? OOOOooo! I wanna see the alien prop!" The gun was hanging limply from Miller's left hand by now. When J.R. asked to get up, Miller shook his head no. "I don't think that's a good idea. You just stay there and play dead like Mr. De Mile wants." He mangled Cyril's fake name. Then he tittered. "Jenks wants me. Did he get to see the dead alien prop? No fair, man! He's always first!"

Cyril and J.R. heard the back door to the fellowship hall open.

OOC: I hope I'll see stats for a prison NPC named Chucky from Terre Haute? ;) Another ally, maybe?

I don't think we need combat rounds. Let me know how you wish to proceed, all.

Cyril was about to head downstairs when he heard the door. "Hey... Miller right? That's a great name, like 'in the movies' kind of name... Anyway, are there more officers coming in? I'd hate for anything to happen to the talent, ya know? Can you radio them and tell them to stand down before we go talk to Jenks?"

Once Miller had accommodated his good friend Cyril, the pair headed downstairs. Cyril couldn't believe how friendly Miller was being, what luck that he was a movie fan!

Miller nodded again. He spoke into his earpiece. "Baliescuski, belay our last. Belay our last. Stand down." Miller reached up and toggled a switch on his earpiece. He held up a finger for Cyril to wait a moment, then sauntered down the hall and entered the fellowship hall. Going to the back door, he opened it and conferred with someone. A couple seconds passed. The back door shut. Miller returned to Cyril, a loopy grin on his face. "All set." He stuck out a hand and gestured at the open door to the basement. He looked at J.R. "You too, I guess. Your boss is going down, you should too. Get up." Miller holstered his sidearm.

A grim picture greeted Cyril, J.R., and Miller when they went downstairs. T-dawg, Otter, and Feral were lying prone on the floor, and Officer Jenks--who had his back to the stairs--had a Glock trained on the general area the three were prone. Jenks whipped around, gun pointed at Cyril. "Miller! What the hell! Get backup. My earbud shorted out."

Cyril's eyes bugged out and his hands shot to the sky. "Wait just a second, officer! There's been a huge misunderstanding. I just explained it all to Officer Miller." Glancing back to Miller, the former lawyer asked, "Officer Miller, do you want to explain it or should I?"
