D&D 5E CB's Stonefast IC -- COMPLETE

Ten feet to the west of the squeaky door is a 10'-wide corridor (Corridor C) that runs to the north for fifteen feet. The corridor terminates in what looks like Hallway A. There is a closed door inset into the north wall of Hallway A, at the hallway's terminus. Corridor C has a pair of doors interspersed equidistant up the hallway; one door is on the west wall of the corridor, and the other door is on the east wall of the corridor.

There is, of course, also a door at the far end of Hallway B. You've spied this door already. It's on the north side of the hallway, situated just five feet from the very western end of Hallway B.

Also, it looks like there are two narrow 5'-wide corridors that runs to the south and branch off Hallway B. The first of these goes south for a short ten feet then terminates with an expanse of stone wall and a door on the east side of the corridor. The second narrow corridor is at the far end of Hallway B. Without going all the way to the end of Hallway B, it's hard to tell what lies around the corner in that direction.

Father Spec looks at the torch, and the right side of his mouth begins to curl up in spite of himself. He *loves* these moments.

"Genetheto phos" he says, snapping his fingers. As he does so his thumb begins to glow brightly, illuminating a 20' radius brightly. . . .
I have my own light, and you can save your torch." Saying that he casts the spell again on the head of his mace, and lifts it up to illuminate the corridor.

"That never worked for me whenever I tried it," Guran grudgingly admits in reply.

"Let's clear the northern room first, then try one of the other doors to the room we just checked. Maybe one of the others won't be quite as loud." Fulgrim said, continuing to think about the bees and what might be some marvelous honey for mead production.

OOC: Fulgrim is suggesting we check the room at the terminus of Hallway A, the western mirror to the room in which we found Roscoe. Then check the other doors to Room 6. Following that, I would suggest checking the room to the west of Room 6 (the mirror to room 4, the smashed marketplace. After that, probably check what may be a secret door before we dig into the other southern options.

Roscoe eyes the priest, he is quite ignorance with all that is related to magic.
Nice trick...with the light, can you cast it on anything you want or just your stuff?

He stand second to the one who leads the way, waiting to see if the beast lurks in the room.

The group treks north up Corridor C to investigate the room (Room 7) at the western terminus of Hallway A. The door to Room 7 appears to be closed shut, but when the group approaches, you see that the door isn't shut, it's merely been closed most of the way but is still cracked open a tad. Guran pushes open the door all the way. Father Spec's able light brightly illuminates a room with stone walls and floor that is 10' square.

Pausing in the open doorway to Room 7 but not entering, the group has a look around. Room 7 appears to have at one time been an office. It looks to have long since been ransacked; the furniture has been broken, and mud coats the lower third of the 10'-high walls.
[sblock=Guran]My apology. Guran should have gotten advantage on his last stonecunning roll, and, yes, you are correct, you add double Guran's proficiency bonus to an Intelligence (History) check when making a stonecunning check. I took the liberty of rolling a stonecunning check with advantage this time around in Room 7, but alas, Guran got an 11 and a 9--not good enough to detect the secret door.[/sblock]
[sblock=Fulgrim]Fulgrim spies a secret door centered on the eastern wall of Room 7. Like Guran, Fulgrim gets advantage on stonecunning checks to find secret doors in Stonefast. I'm sorry for not noticing this earlier, but as Fulgrim noticed the first secret door, happily my lapse is semi-moot. This time, I took the liberty of rolling Fulgrim's Intelligence (Nature) stonecunning check with advantage; Fulgrim got a 20 and an 8, so he notices the new secret door.[/sblock]

Glancing around the room, Fulgrim pauses and points his finger at the eastern wall. "Beware, there is a concealed door in the eastern wall, I've seen the design before in the Ironfist hold. Let's search the room while someone covers the hidden door. Secrets are always interesting."

OOC: I'm just going to put the secret door on the north end of the eastern wall since I can't really split it in Excel. Fulgrim would like to search the room for anything of interest.

OOC: That's a perfectly fitting result for Guran. I designed him to be of average intelligence with no training in History; so if he gets 11 and 9 -- averaging 10 -- on INT (History) checks, then that's as intended. On a related note, Fulgrim made his check, so we're good as a party.

Guran looks at the eastern wall of the room off the northwest corner of the first 5-foot-wide hallway. He doesn't see any hidden door there, so he offers the chalk to Fulgrim.

Fulgrim frowned at the chalk and gestured with his hand, uttering a soft incantation. A glowing hand appeared in the air, floated to a section of the wall, and pointed. With the door identified, the mage began to dig through the refuse in the room. Offices were always interesting.
