D&D 5E CB's Stonefast IC -- COMPLETE

OOC: Actually, I just realized that I am going to go after Colden in initiative, so Help may be not so great. Instead, I guess I'll probably take a swing. Not sure if there are going to be five of us stuck in there by the time my turn rolls around, so I guess just take the first roll if I am not suffering from Disadvantage.

[sblock=Intelligence (Religion) 15]Guran's light hammer did more damage than it ought to have. These skeletons seem to be vulnerable to bludgeoning damage; damage dealt by a bludgeoning weapon deals double damage.[/sblock]

OOC: The 5' square directly in front of the door is unoccupied. Guran is standing in the hallway one square to the east of the open door. The only thing impeding access to the room is a skeleton.

OOC - that I will attack the skeleton in my turn.

Roscoe Recklessly attack the skeleton that blocks the way into the room with intention to smack the creature back into a pile of bones. He uses a maneuver that will give him an advantage but on the other hand opens his defences.

[sblock=Reckless Attack]When you make your first attack on your turn, you can decide to attack recklessly. Doing so gives you advantage on melee weapon attack rolls using Strength during this turn, but attack rolls against you have advantage until your next turn. [/sblock]

Upon seeing the damage done to the doorway skeleton by his hammer-throw, Guran is heartened. He stays where he is in order to let his allies in the room escape their surrounding confinement. He draws one of his handaxes and throws that at the skeleton in the doorway.

OOC: He doesn't have advantage on the throw. However, he doesn't have disadvantage either, so I'm going to roll Sneak Attack damage, because Guran has a non-incap. ally or two within 5 feet of the target.

_: 1D20+5 = [11]+5 = 16
1D4+3+1D6 = [1]+3+[2] = 6

As a bonus ("Cunning") action, Guran tries to hide from the other two skeletons in the room. (He's so busy trying that as to have no leftover, extra mental capacity to speak this turn.)
_: 1D20+4 = [7]+4 = 11

COMBAT ROUND 1

Initiative:
Guran 20
Skeleton1 13
Skeleton2 13
Skeleton3 13
Father Spec 11
Colden 10
Roscoe 6
Fulgrim 5

Heartened when he saw the damage done to the doorway skeleton by his hammer throw, Guran stood his ground to let others exit the room. He drew a handaxe and threw it at the skeleton in the doorway. The axe hit the skeleton true, and the edge of the axe blade skittered through the creature's bones, dealing 6 points of damage. Skeleton3 collapsed in a pile of bones in the doorway. After his success, Guran flattened himself against the north wall of Hallway A, as out of sight from the skeletons as he could make himself.[sblock=Guran]Guran isn't inside Room 7, so disadvantage doesn't apply to him. Sneak attack is fine. The handaxe is a slashing weapon, so it will deal normal damage against the skeleton.[/sblock]

Skeleton1 lurched toward Fulgrim and swung the rusted shortsword it clutched, but missed. Fulgrim felt the whoosh of air at his back when the creature swiped at him.

Skeleton2 curled its bony fingers around the haft of a scimitar and swung at Colden, hitting AC 19 for 8 points of damage. The tip of the scimitar eased through the armpit of Colden's chainmail, piercing flesh and pricking ribs. The creature withdrew its blade and gazed at the blood dripping from the scimitar. It grinned lewdly.

PAUSING MID-ROUND TO SOLICIT AN ACTION FROM [MENTION=23484]Kobold Stew[/MENTION] FOR FATHER SPEC.

From out in the corridor, Spec realizes his options are limited. To enter now would cause even more crowding, so he turns, raising his holy symbol, he shouts "kaie" and reaches out above the lewdy grinning skeleton and makes a pulling gesture towards himself. As he does so flames erupt from the ceiling behind the foul creature and fall down upon it.

(Sacred Flame, DC 13 Dex save or 1d8 fire damage)
