D&D 5E CB's Stonefast IC -- COMPLETE

OOC: No, I don't want Guran to check for traps. Hmm. I guess that would be two actions in one turn; the Stealth is the thing. He's not far enough ahead of the other members of the party to have time for other caution.

Guran Initiative: [roll0]

OOC: Yes, Guran would make an opportunity attack against smelly orc if he can: Short sword (1d20+5;1d6+3).

Combat Round 1

Initiative:
Father Spec 21
Colden 17
Orcs 14
Roscoe 13
Guran 4
Fulgrim 2

Father Spec was the first to spring to action. Spec spied the shadow of the large figure standing in the back, as the smell of charred flesh rolled into the hallway. He moved with a grace that belied his pot belly and walrus moustache, repeating his gesture and again pulling down flames--this time upon the imposing Tough Orc. Tough Orc grunted when it saw that flames rain down, and tried to dart forward, but to no avail. Holy fire from Spec's handiwork caught the orc, dealing 4 points of damage. The creature howled loudly as its skin blistered.

Colden stepped forward to the doorway and stood beside Spec. He hurled his handaxe at the large burning figure (Tough Orc) just immolated by Father Spec. The blade of the axe struck Tough Orc in the neck, dealing 9 points of damage, then clattered to the floor. Tough Orc topped on top of Colden's blade, blood flowing freely from the creature's neck.

Smelly Orc grabbed for its blade, prompting Guran to attack while the creature's back was turned. The dwarf lunged forward, but missed. Smelly Orc got hold of its dagger, and stabbed at Guran, but it, too, missed.

The other three orcs who had been sleeping stirred when Tough Orc howled and the fracas intensified. All three sat up. One (Dumb Orc) did nothing but yawn and rub at its ears. The other two--closest to Tough Orc's slumped body by the southeastern corner--stood up and looked about dazedly. One of the pair of these (Orc Bodyguard 1) grabbed Tough Orc's greataxe and brandished it. The other (Orc Bodyguard 2) looked at Colden with fear in its eyes, then visibly cast about the room for a weapon. Its yellow eyes lit on a falchion at its feet, and it darted to pick up the blade.

Roscoe extracted his short sword from the dead orc guard. The Halfling eyed Orc Bodyguards. Unable to stifle his hatred, Roscoe's eyes began to flare so that their whites shined in the shadows given off by Spec's divine flames. Roscoe's mouth twitched. His fingers curled, and he flew into a rage. Roscoe's skin thickened, and the hair visible on his head, back of his neck, and hands stiffened. He felt the bear within lose itself from its human cage, and he gave in the urge to lash out at the orcs.
OOC: I'll let you pick which of the remaining orcs you want Roscoe to attack.

Staring down the corridor, Fulgrim was unprepared for the outbreak of hostilities. Gathering his wits about him, he sent a bolt of fire into the room, aimed at Orc Bodyguard 1. The bolt hit the creature squarely in the chest, dealing 5 points of damage.

OOC: Please let me know which target Roscoe wishes to attack, and what Guran wants to do.

Roscoe aims for the bodyguard (1) with his short sword without caring who's around him.
Reckless attack with Adv. (1d20+4=19, 1d20+4=6) - 19 - Hit.
Damage to Bodyguard1 (1d6+5=9)

OOC: Reckless Attack - When you make your first attack on your turn, you can decide to attack recklessly. Doing so gives you advantage on melee weapon attack rolls using Strength during this turn, but attack rolls against you have advantage until your next turn.
Rage (2/3 Rages, +2 damage) - resistance to all damage except psychic damage.

Roscoe left Guran's side and darted across the room to the southeastern corner, where Orc Bodyguards 1 and 2 were upright. The Halfling slashed madly with his short sword, hacking viciously at the burly Orc Bodyguard 1, and dealing a whirlwind 9 points of damage. The brute force of his recklessness temporarily left open Roscoe's defenses, however. Orc Bodyguard 2's eyes narrowed to clever slits as it observed the Halfling's attack on its brethren.

tuxgeo, I need an action for this round for Guran, please.

END OF ROUND 1

Guran stuck with the orc he had already engaged, Smelly Orc. He hacked once again at the creature, this time connecting the sharp side of his short sword and slicing through the bone and tendons of the beast's upper arm. Guran sliced clean through the orc's arm, dealing 4 more points of damage. He watched in satisfaction as the light left Smelly Orc's eyes and the orc died.

COMBAT, Round 2

OOC: Start of Round 2. Everyone is up. The room is 15' square. Dumb Orc is still sitting down on the floor and has not reached for a weapon. Orc Bodyguards 1 and 2 are in the southeastern corner of the room with Roscoe. Guran is standing by the east wall of the room, directly opposite the door. Orc Bodyguard 1 is wounded. Orc Bodyguard 2 and Dumb Orc are untouched.
