The pony grabs on with its sticky tongue (55 vs. 36 grapple) and squeezes Abigail for 14 points of damage, preventing her from moving further. Abigail has 15 HP remaining. The pony lets go of Abigail.

Round 886

The pony again attempts to grab Abigail with its tongue, doing so successfully (rolled 19+1=20 on rebuff attempt) and squeezing Abigail for 18 points of damage. Abigail is defeated.

The pony is at 10N15E, and has 150 HP remaining.

Huh? Is the pony using improved grab on a creature of the same size, which is normally not possible?

The pony is not using improved grab. It is grappling. That is why Abigail receives an AoO.

OOC: If the pony let's go of Abigail, why would she be prevented from going further? I see the AoO now, though I don't think she actually gets one since when she takes it she's out of reach of the pony (based on a recent RotG article anyway that says you cannot take an AoO on a limb or appendage of the creature and that you must be able to reach the creature's space).

OOC: Abigail was grappled, which prevented her from moving further. The pony let go after Abigail had acted. You are correct that Abigail should not have received an AoO.

Gilbert Brown comes out of retirement, wearing animal skins that make him look even bigger than and he is, and a G painted on his yellow helmet. With any luck there will be a scout in the stands and somebody will offer him a contract once he beats the snot out of this Bronco.

He moves to 30n15e rages, and Power Attacks for 5.

Gilbert has a standard action remaining. He has not declared his Power Attack yet, nor has he raged yet, although he still has the option to do either. He cannot attack with his greatclub.

I'm a big sports fan and I remembered that one. I don't remember them all, but Gilbert Brown's was easy because he was so frickin' big.

Gilbert will keep trying to punch as he has no other alternative. Time compress him out of existence please.

OOC: PJSlaver, upon further thought that grapple move on Abigail was just brilliant. I was confused because I didn't think he could move in for the grapple and with the improved grab couldn't work, but not moving in didn't hurt at all. Pretty sweet.
