CE vs. N (FFA): Very Young Howling Dragon vs. Thunder Worm

Round 472

OOC: E's speed is 20, so the best he can do is 70N80E.

Batman finishes his spell. A cross between a horse and a giant eagle appears at 70N25E and charges to 70N70E.

E hits the horse-thing with an AoO. (Rolled 15) The eagle-thing takes 5 points of damage and has 13 hp left.

It claws E (rolled 22+2), but E immediately heals the damage.

Batman curses and flies to 70N85E30Z.

Round 473

Two tentacles hit for 8 points of damage. (Lowest roll 22) They do not grab on. (13 vs. 14)

A third tentacle hits because of the charge. (Rolled 15 & 11) 5 more points of damage causes the horse-thing to disappear!

Batman curses up a storm. He flies down to 70N85E15Z and emits a piercing shriek directed at E. E resists (rolled 23 Fort save), but still takes 2 points of damage and has 2 hp left.

E will bunch 3 tentecals underhimself, and attempt to spring upward, failing with his last long tentacle to try and get ahold of the batman (Jump and Grapple)

E would have to get his body up that high, not just his tentacle to grapple. Given that he is not taking a running start and has -5 modifier to begin with, it is impossible to jump high enough for even a normal attack with his tentacle.

Round 475

Batman moves to 85N80E. E takes an AoO and hits (rolled 25). 5 points of damage takes Batman down to 78 hp.

Then E takes his readied attack. He hits (rolled 17) for another 2 points of damage. Batman has 76 hp. E does not grab on. (Rolled 21 vs. 25 Grp check)

Batman's turn now. He claws (rolled 23) for 7-5=2 points of damage. E is disabled.

E will strike one last time, lashing away with a barbed tentecal, knowing his allies will respect his valor and heal him.
Poor, poor mistaken Entrailsareyummy. The great granddaughter of the general needs a tough rope for a swing she is building, and his flexible tendrils will be perfect for the job.
