CE vs. N (FFA): Very Young Howling Dragon vs. Thunder Worm

Try another mind drain and daze. Next round continue with the mind drains, but move down (within 10ft reach, hoping his opponent doesn't have reach) and attack.

The mind stuff has no effect.

Round 606: The lizard waits. The jellyfish has to come down to 0N0E15Z to attack. As it approaches, the lizard breathes a cone of dust and grit at it. The jellyfish fails to dodge (rolled 12 Ref save) and takes 17. It has 28 hp left.

The jellyfish slams with a tentacle. (Rolled 16+1 for higher ground) The lizard takes 6-5=1 and has 54 hp left. It is too big to grab.

Round 607: The lizard claws twice (rolled 29 twice). The jellyfish takes 40 total and dies.

Next for CE in round 607: a tuyewera. (CC)

Okay, so maybe the jellyfish wasn't as under-CR'd as I thought.

A slumped over, animated corpse with his legs chopped off at the knees stumbles awkwardly into the arena to 0e (north is the lizard's Space). He tries to cut up the dusty lizard with a rusted scimitar. If you want to time compress, Ty's plan is to continue 5ft-stepping to the east because he expects that lizard to attempt a bull rush once his attacks have no effect.

OOC: I'll point out that technically in 3.5 he should also get slam attacks as secondary natural attacks in addition to the scimitar.

OOC: I've seen bites combined with weapon attacks, but never slams. Do you have an example where a creature gets both a slam and a weapon attack in a full attack sequence?

Round 607: Ty moves to 15N0E and attacks. He hits for 9-5=4 points of damage. (Rolled 20)

Round 608: The lizard claws twice and bites for no damage. It has 50 hp left.

Ty steps to 15N5E and misses. (Rolled 12)

Round 609: The lizard attempts to overrun Ty while moving to 40N5E. Ty hits with an AoO for 10-5 damage. The lizard has 45 hp, but prevents Ty from moving out of the way and knocks him over (rolled 38 vs. 15 Str check).

What does Ty do now?

OOC: I found a claw attack in a stat block with the troll hunter. Additionally, the vampire specifically states: "If armed with a weapon, it usually uses the weapon as its primary attack along with a slam or other natural weapon as a natural secondary attack." If he otherwise doesn't use his second hand, he should at least wield the scimitar two-handed (to get +2 on damage).

Ty will get up, step to the east to 15n10e, and ready to slam the approaching dust bunny.

OOC: In this particular case, it says that the tuyewera needs to use his other hand to balance himself, so no extra hand on the scimitar or extra slam. :(

Round 610: Dust Lizard moves to 25N10E and breathes on Ty. Ty was too busy taking off his shirt to dodge (rolled 9 Ref save) and takes 23 points of damage. He has 16 hp left.

Excellent point! You know, I really like that idea, pretty cool.

Ty will step to 20n15e and slam the lizard. He will use the slam attack until he hits and then switch to the scimitar for the remainder of the fight. Time compress?

Ty gets off balance when he switches hands and misses (rolled natural 1).

Round 611: Dust Lizard withdraws to 65N10E.

Ty charges to 60N15E and face-plants. (Rolled natural 1)

Round 612: Dust Lizard withdraws to 105N10E.

Ty charges to 100N15E and misses (rollled 10+2).

Round 613: Dust Lizard withdraws and climbs the wall to 5Z.

Ty charges to 115N15E and hits for 6-5=1. Dust Lizard has 49 hp left and could care less about disease.

Round 614: Dust Lizard withdraws up the wall to 15Z.

What does Ty do now?

Ty will throw his scimitar at the dusty lizard as an improvised ranged weapon. Each round, he'll move to pick up the weapon (or just pick it up) and throw it again. He really has no other option. I wager the lizard will keep climbing until he's out of range and a draw occurs.

The crowds chuckle at the sight of the weakish tuyewera chasing the giant lizard up the wall.
