Chainmail Bikini: AC or Cha bonus?

I remember reading in "Azure Bonds" that the armor covered her entire body with a force effect, turning even blows striking unarmored parts of her body. So in effect, maybe it acts as bracers of armor.

In the Curse of the Azure Bonds trilogy (in the third book, I believe), they mentioned an enchanted chainmail shirt that offered a wide amount of cleavage. In one scene an attacker's blow was turned away when he was aiming for the seemingly unprotected area.

As far as unenchanted skimpy clothing and AC is concerned, I would use situational modifiers if appropriate for the attackers in questions.

I wasn't trolling by posting this and didn't mean to offend anyone; I honestly wanted some rules for it, because a female player in my game wants to wear one and thinks she should get some kind of bonus for it... though she agrees it probably shouldn't do anything for her AC, LOL. Sorry if this wasn't mentioned earlier, but I didn't think the reason why I wanted the information was going to be so important to some people.

BTW: Thanks, Emirikol, for reminding everyone not to get so upset over something so frivolous, and also thanks to the poster who mentioned the valid origins of such a garment in decades of fantasy art. Let's not get so worked up over talking about fantasy clothing. Isn't there more in the world to be upset about than chainmail bikinis? I think I saw something on CNN... :D

And has anyone done a 3e conversion of Alias' outfit from Azure Bonds?

Some years ago I made a chainmail halter top for a friend who was running a fashion show, it covered the upper chest and most of the abdomen, but not much else, it wasnt a bikini as such.

Even failed artists like myself have limits of decentcy... actually no I dont thats a complete lie... Im human scum, lets face it I made a chainmail halter top for money and I like human nudity too much :D

Anyway, it looked good after I laquered it shiny black, weighed about 4-5kgs and would stop knives quite well, so I grabbed the weediest guy in the house and made him wear it for a few minutes just to see if hung ok. Skinny guy, skinny model, whats the difference apart from an ugly face :p
Anyway he started bitching about the weight on his neck, it nearly tore out a nipple ring and abraded the other nipple right off, he wouldnt actually let me stab him with my sabre so it wasnt completly tested.
Reluctantly, with hours to go I sewed up a lining with some black taffeta and that sort of took care of the chaffing bit but by this stage everyone else who would serve as a testbed quite wisely went running for their lives.

So's I get the mail and run down to give it to my friend and meet the model and do a final fitting.
She's all of about 5'2 tall and 40kgs at most and someone is expecting her to wear this all night? Well, she did. Without complaint and actually bought the damn thing!

Women, strange creatures.
It did look damn fine I must say though :D

I'm looking for descriptions and rules for "fashion" armor of limited combat use but maximum distraction capacity, LOL, such as the proverbial chainmail bikini everyone keeps talking about. Wearing such items must have some value... :D

There's a Distract feat in Quintessential Fighter, I'd give a bonus for distracting clothing. It'd only give an AC bonus it it was magical (Chainmail Bikini of Armour)

Maybe it is a Glamered Breastplate of Command? Didn`t the Breastplate of Command give you some bonus to charisma based skills? Glamered armor allow your armor to look like a part of a normal piece of clothing, and if we stretch our definition, a chainmal bikini can be considered a normal piece of clothing :)

Otherwise, it might be just the typical "attractive and knowing it" charismatic female hero would wear - at least, when she is not fighting a dragon (because you know, Dragons like virgins and beautiful girls, but in a ... unpleasent way...) or other monstrous creature...

EDIT:
I just checked the Breastplate of Command - its effect are lost if it is concealed, so Glamered won`t work with it.
But the bonus are so identically to the bonus of a Circlet of Persuasion, just drop the "will fight more readily" and the +2 to turning checks, and you have your Chainmail Bikini...

i always liked that cartoon of the woman in chainmail bikini, with arrows, axes, and all sorts of weapons sticking out of the "armor", and she's otherwise untouched on the rest of her body. :D

Edit: LOL! said cartoon, or one similar to it, can be found earlier in this thread. :D

If you can wear a bracer that increases your armor class, because of it's magical properties, then why not have your friendly neighborhood magic item creator, make you a:

Chain Mail Bikini with matching chain embossed pleated leather skirt, ac +10, cha +6. It'd be pricey...but why not? Make it as a "wonderous item" not armor.

actually, that's about the best justification for chainmail bikini i've ever heard - and probably the only one that actually makes any real sense. :) that they function like bracers of armor and add a cha bonus? genius! ;)
