Challenge Accepted!

Thats fair. If you only get charachter concepts from 8or so regular players then that's a small sample size and its important to understand what other players may want and if you can meet there goals.....

But you are asking for free help and giving literally nothing in return, not even a glance at a character sheet.
If people wish to participate in a challenge that is up to them. I do not control this behaviour. They do get a bit in return. They know now that there is a system that might easily handle thier character concepts. This in turn may lead into more questions and build interest. That sounds more like a mutual benefit to me.

IMHO, you handled the marketing of your game poorly. And your attempts at damage control do not seem to be having the desired effect.

I'm not sure if there is a path to restoring the trust of the community for you.
Perhaps you are correct. I am new at this and certainly do not have all the answers. I can say however, I would prefer eager and engaging people over hostile, and doubtful ones. You talk of trust, but in what regard? I posted something I thought would be fun and even challenging, and instead people lined up to show hostility. That has kinda been the got to from the get go. Plus I haven't been to any forums as of yet that open discusses the taking of other peoples ideas. Which is why I am largely hesitant.

You approach to marketing and your defense of it is causing the reactions.

Oh, wow, never imagined pop-culture icons as Vampire characters! Suddenly Michael Jackson makes perfect sense as a Nosferatu...
QUEEN OF THE DAMNED is a weak film but a fun book. Not sure you can get into it without reading the previous ones, but pop-culture vampires are definitely a thing!

Even the vacuum cleaner salesman brings out the vacuum to look at and show you how well it works, rather than just tell about how cool it is...
But the salesman will also be careful as he walks down the road towards the house plans on selling to. He doesn't wish to be robbed. He will plan his route as best he can. I haven't even been here a week, and already the calls for mechanics and free stuff, which when I am ready i would gladly do. People seem simutaniously sick of hearing about it and wanting the details all at once.

I loved that series! Yes, I have vampires as well. While they occasionally hide amongst the upper teirs of nobility, the majority of them are still in the undead homelands where they have entire cities of....food. There they rule as royalty and the people them see them much like gods. They also defend against other types of wandering undead armies.

I agree that would be a benefit if we actually saw the mechanics. What we get is assurances from the author that the system will handles it.

I think people's reluctance is you are not sharing any actual rules. Just telling us your system can do it. But its natural for people to have a misstrust of a salesperson.

Heck im 50/50 this is some elaborate prank and no game actually exists.
