I think you need a min stat cap on this (Minemum point buy) or else it's going to be characters with all below 8 stats.

A 20th level commoner still has +10 Bab. Multiclass with 1 level of each thing to remove any possible competency.

That would lower the BAB, but could give you some darn good saving throw bonuses...

Sneaky... I like it. It's not in the PHB, but I sure like the idea.

I'm curious how bad it could get by owning "beneficial" magic items...

But having vow of poverty itself is pretty powerful...
Maybe it's better to have someone who likes being poor, but just can't commit.

Why didn't I think of this earlier? You could make Noah and his Ark! A really old commoner who spends all of his money buying a huge boat, two of each animal on the planet, and feed for all of them (and rations for himself). He sits on his boat waiting for a flood. "It's coming... I know it is!"

It's possible to multi-class and prestige-class your way to level 20 without ever gaining a single BAB. By careful spell selection, the most damaging spell you could cast is a cantrip.

For this to meaningful I reckon that character should be core rules only, default array, average hps, standard wealth & be a genuine character that would be able to make it to 20th level in the expected manner - i.e. can contribute to defeating enemies.

If this or something like it is agreed then I'm game.

Ok you take the basic human with all 3 for stats. Than you multi class the hell out of him. (every Class avoiding warrior types if posible.) at lower levels this makes for a Versitile characters. But by level 20 any class abilities thay have are so pathetic (And low Level) And under specialized that they are incabable of handeling anything above say about CR 3 or 4.Not to mention the hideous xp penalty for multi classing. Give him some useless feats. Pretty much Some skill focuses and toughness are all he can take with those crappy abilities. Slap a dum Name (thinking Angus PudingBooty.) on him And back story where he was shamed out of all of his magical items by a retarded Kobold.
