Chaotic Good Paladin - Where can I find the rules for it?

Hi guys,

I seem to remember seeing on the WotC website rules for a what was basically a Chaotic Good Paladin. I can't remember whether it was a base class or a prestige class. It may have been called an Avenger or a Vigilante but I am probably wrong. I know that there are Paladin class variants in Unearthed Arcana but they are not what I am thinking of.

Does anyone know what I am talking about?

Thanks in advance,

Olaf the Stout

Yeah, the one at d20srd is here, to be precise.

Apart from that, and the PrC mentioned above, there's the variant Paladin in Dragon magazine #310. It included five types, from memory - all but the standard one and the evil three (the latter of which were in Dragon magazine #312, IIRC.)

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the crusader as an option for a CG paladin. It's a wonderful fit, especially with the random cycling of the maneuvers.

We have a pretty effective elf Paladin of Freedom in our group right now, which just hit 10th level overall... however, he just branched out into the Champion of Corellon Larethian prestige class (though, tweaked for Kalamar into a Champion of The Guardian)

There are also the rules put forth in Green Ronin's Book of the Righteous, which gives you the building blocks for Holy Warriors of a wide variety of faiths and alignments. Its a 3Ed book, but converting it to 3.X is pretty easy, and as I understand, Green Ronin has made it available for 3.5 in pdf form.
