Greyhawk is the 'sample setting' provided in the 2024 Dungeon Master's Guide, and it is illustrated with a massive hex map by the awesome Mike Schley.
Barrier Peaks are there too, in case anyone wants to make an Expedition to them. What is interesting to note is that the map has at least 7 named Dungeon locations (as well as a number of unnamed "Ruins" for a DM tondecelop), including 3 already published for 5E, and 4...that have not been:
- White Plume Mountain
- Tomb of Horrors
- Loat Caverns of Taojcanth
- Temple of Elemental Evil
- Maure Castle
- Ghost Tower of Iverness
Aaaand...
- Castle Greyhawk, seperate from the Free City by a bit.
Wonder what if any role those will play on the DMG.
Ghosts of Saltmarsh also has a CY 576 setting. Also, appears they have reverted back to pre-Greyhawk Wars. I approve.
But interestingly, no marking for where the starship is located. Also no reference for the Against the Giants or Forbidden Shrine of Tamoachan down South, which they have published.Barrier Peaks are there too, in case anyone wants to make an Expedition to them.
See below:Do my Greyhawk folk know how big the map shown is in miles high by miles wide?
Hey all,
In case anyone is adventuring in Greyhawk, I put together a spreadsheet showing the size (in square miles and km) of each country and geographical feature (mountain range, forests, etc) of the Flanaess. I then added in the population values from the Living Greyhawk Gazetteer and calculated the population density of each country.
If you are interested in the excel sheet it can be found on Canonfire.com under the Downloads and Maps section.

A double-sided poster map, with thus on one side and a detailed Free City of Greyhawk on the other side.Is the poster map coming with the DMG? or is it just going to be a 2 page spread?
