D&D (2024) Check Out The New Dungeon Master's Guide's Greyhawk Map

Greyhawk is the 'sample setting' provided in the 2024 Dungeon Master's Guide, and it is illustrated with a massive hex map by the awesome Mike Schley.

Can you share a photo of what the book you are referring to says on page 12 in regards to Humanoids in the Free Cities, and what it shows for Humanoids in the population of the Free City of Greyhawk?

Mine ends with the word "precincts" under the humanoid section on page 12. No % are given after that like yours does.

OK, sorry if that presentation was unclear:

  • page 12 has the "Distribution of Humanoids" that mentions the Free Coties allow Humanoids
  • page 18 defines the terms used for the shorthand info for each political entity (so "Some" means upwards of 10%)
  • page 23 has the info for the Free City of Greyhawk indicating that upwards of 10% of the population of Greyhawk is Humanoids

Rel Astra also has a big Humanoid population, and the free cities of the Wild Coast are rife with them apparently. Dyvers or Irongate have fewer, but still upwards of 5%.

Okay. I get what you're saying.

And this may be a novice question, but does anyone know if Thunder Rift and Orlane from Against the Cult of the Reptile God are on this map? If so, what region? Thanks in advance to those more knowledgeable.
AtCotRG "takes place on the border between the Gran March and the Kingdom of Keoland in the western Flanaess." (from the Greyhawk Online wiki).

No idea on the other.

Just to clarify, there are two Greyhawk campaign products.
First, there was 1980's The World of Greyhawk folio that had the map and a 32 page booklet.

This was revised and expanded in 1983 into a box set, with the map and two booklets: an 80-page guide and a 48-page glossography.

Give me Middle Earth or the Age of Conan! Though, Greyhawk is cool. At least with Greyhawk you don't have to worry about the DM doing something Non-Middle Earthish or something stupid with the hyborian age, like puting starships in those worlds!
