Irongolem Ring

This simple band of cast iron protects the wear with a continuous iron body effect and enlarge person effect. It functions only when worn by a creature of the humanoid type.
Strong transmutation; CL 15th; Forge Ring, enlarge person, iron body; Price ?

Obviously it's named after the appearance of those who wear it. I have a RAW price, but I'm not putting it here because I want peoples opinions of what YOU think the price should be. All I'm looking for is what you all think the price should be.

It's just very powerful, so hard to estimate. If it were limited to 3 uses a day or something it would be easier to price. But continuous? Very powerful.

Using the guideline formulae from the DMG, just the Iron Body comes to:

8 (spell lvl) x 15 (caster level) x 2000 x 2 (spell duration in minutes) = 480,000 gp

Its powerful but by no means game breaking. The magic item pricing systems in the books are very very wonky. Theres a huge difference between an item which provides unlimited use say of Polymorph and one of Detect Scrying.

I would probably eye ball it at something like 180k. Its around the cost of the most powerful rings which seems to fit.

Iron body AND Enlarge Person -

8 x 15 x 2000 + 2(15 x 2000) = 300,000 gp

The entire ring must be the same caster level, and double cost on the enlarge person for 2 effects in 1 body slot.

Giving it a discount because it doesn't work for non-humanoids? I don't think so.

Don't look at the spell, look at the effects. A Ring of Ironskin (DR 15/adamntine) costs 400,000gp by itself, and is an epic item. Anything that gives that and a whole bunch for for anything close (or heaven forbid less) is probably incredibly undercosted.

Just call it an artifact and deal with it that way. Whether it is 180,000 or 500,000, does it really matter? Once you hit 200K it's an artifact anyway, so just call it what it is.
