At this point, we only have one person (Pb) looking to add an event. Instead of sacrificing both your events, I'd prefer you just choose one. That'll please the most people.

Nope, go ahead and drop my events. Easier to step back completely and let other folks take a shot.

I know there's a few others who might want to GM. Tekkmage is wanting to run a Hollow Earth game, iirc, and Yort was planning on running something, too, but he's in San Francisco on vacation...

Thanks though.

As for the number of events, sound can be an issue, so I can see why Buzz would want to limit tables and table sizes. It could be one of those things of "too much of a good thing..."

Oh YEAH, this was discussed regarding the noise level last time, but I totally forgot about it...

Curt, I have two of those office-cubicle partitions, nigh-identical to the ones you have set up by the "whiteboard table". They're not the same length, I think they were designed to create an L-shaped space, but they've been in my basement for over a decade; I really don't recall how they interlock, if they even do at all. They would probably need supports attached to them to set up like the ones you already have, I would expect.

Anyway, I certainly have NOT been using them and have NO plans to do so; they are totally and completely available for donation, if they would help. The only issue is transport; they won't fit in my car at =all=, and I don't think they'd even fit in my brother's jeep (too long.) If transport can be arranged, frankly I'd be happy to get rid of the things. I'm in Aurora; Buzz, I don't suppose you happen to own a station wagon, do you? With a carrying rack on top? 'Zilla, your van doesn't have a rack, does it? Anybody? Bueller?

Well, okay. As long as you are cool with it.

Pbartender, your Dread event has been added to the afternoon slot.

The morning slot now has an open event, as well as an available private room.

Maybe I misunderstood. Were you not asking me to give up the table I had in the morning so that someone else could run a game?
I was asking you to give up an event, not just a table. But it's a moot point, now. :)

I'm really hesitant to have eight games per slot. Last time, we had eight on the schedule for the afternoon, but only seven were run, as TB42 needed to leave due to illness. Even then, I remember there being some kerfuffle because some regular GP minis group showed up and wanted a table, and we had to do some shuffling.

I'm willing to hear what the rest of you think, though. If we were to expand to eight tables, I'd really want to enforce a maximum of five players per event, with the exception of games being run in the private room. I'd also want confirmation from GP that we can use eight tables.

My gut says that more than seven is a bad idea.

I have a CR-V, but no roof rack.

This would be up to the guys at GP, though. :)

If Curt thinks that this is something that he wants at the store, I could probably get my hands on a van to deliver it. I'd be happy to help Curt out because he is, in fact, THE MAN.

Buzz,
If there is still a slot open to run. Ill take it.
I am either going to do a Battlestar or Hollow Earth Expidition. (if i get the slot)
Thanks,
Doug

It's yours!

Okay, we're full up, no more horsin' around. Those of you who are TBD, let me know when you get a chance.

Next step is accumulating event descriptions, as well as general brainstorming. Getting a flyer together at some point is also a good idea. Still, we have ample time.

I would like to do the flyer, Buzz, if that's cool. Just let me know what text you would like on it. I'll do a couple choices for you.

Go for it.

Text may have to wait until we know for sure what RPGs are being run. Otherwise, the name in big, honkin' letters, the date, place, and contact info. Go nuts.
