Between the surveys, UA, the vague hints I just want them to come out and say based on the feedback were leaning towards product x or product y, but that direction might change.

Well, anything Perkins is working on is not going to be related to the UA. Three months notice is apparently the sweet spot for marketing the products.

Wait a moment! We are thinking it will be a new book, but it could be a videogame, or the pilot episode of a cartoon webserie as "Castlevania" or "Kimetsu no Yaiba". If it is a videogame about killing hordes of undeads, then Innistrad would better.

And the great doubt, how Vecna, darklord of Cavitus become god? Is Kas a vestige as articled from Dragon Magazine told?

Okay so the main possibilities as I see it are:

Ravenloft Campaign Setting Guide type book.

A MtG Setting book including Innistrad.

A Desert of Desolation update and expansion and/or post sundering sequel.

Volo's Guide to Spirits and Specters which many folks thought was just a joke, but I said was not.

All of the above.

DoD takes the revived AP slot like Saltmarsh and ToTYP. Ravenloft gets a full Setting PDF like Wayfarer's Guide to Eberron. The MtG Setting book gets a hard cover. And Volo's Guide to Spirits and Specters takes the Player Options/MMish slot. That leaves Exandia for the developed by outsiders slot and the regular AP for that Celebrity Short Adventures thing (or reversed the celebrity AP gets the lesser adventure slot and a Sequel to DoD gets the main event slot).

If its DoD we could get the 5e old Empires Gazette in it, which include at minimum Mulhorand, Unther, Chessenta, and new kids on the block, High/Deep Imaskar remaining Strong holds, Tymanther, and maybe Akanul. Perhaps even Mugholm, Solon, Al Qahara, and Semphar as well.

House on Gryphon Hill is a bit short on it's own. It could form part of a GoS style horror themed collection though.

You might crank Desert of Desolation up to a full book, but I think most people agree that the second and third instalments, and the collected version, where inferior to Pharaoh. But with a major overall and the Universal Horror dialled up to 11 it could be a winner. Couldn't be worse than Tom Cruise anyway...

A combined Ravenloft Setting / Monster book could also be possible.

If there is a new book as "Libris Mortis" we should ask about the "deathless", a monster subtype as undead, but healed by positive energy and hurt by necrotic damage. This may be a monster ally.

If there is a return of the demiplane this can't be only a crusade against undeads, or the PCs would get magic item to become "ghostbusters". The players should face other type of menaces as shapeshifters, fomorians with mutations, monster plants, abominations from the Far Realm, constructs or dark feys. The dark feys should give good reasons to cause fear to monster PCs.

If a crossover between the demiplane of dread and other setting (Innistrad, Masque of the Red Death) is possible, the planning should start now to can create a good plot and avoid the risk of a "jump the shark" effect. And I notice there are pieces of a real complex plot. This could be like "Game of Thrones". The authors have had got enough time to rewrite the story.

Today some players want to play monster PCs. Why not if vampire was a monster class in 4th Ed? And the Ghostwalk where the PCs could be ghosts.

And some player will want to play like a shaman, a necromancer who summon deathless spirits as a ghost-type pokemon trainer, or the main characters of Shaman King manganime.

* What happened to (original) Barovia in the prime material plane? What the hell was the king Barov von Zarovich VI? (Strath's father was only count) Could the "crystal sphere" of the planet where Barovia is to become a "spin-off" of Ravenloft?

* What could happen in a second grand conjunction with new time travels?

* What if the demiplane of the dread is a time loop? After an(zombie) apocalypse there is a reboot and start again.

* Have you got your own ideas to be added for your future adventures in Ravenloft? For example soulfuse, sentient constructs with incarnum soulmelds, or ushabti, like a mixture of deathless mummies and living construct to be played as a PC race.
