Chris Perkins teasers from Comicpalooza in Houston

The Halfling

I attended the Chris Perking Preview at Comicpalooza in Houston over the weekend, and he dropped the following bits about upcoming content for Dungeon mag.

The G1-3 series is getting a 4e conversion, and a fourth module will be added that focuses on stone giants.

Also, ToEE will get a 4e version, but this one will be a prequel, and focus on the rise of the ToEE and the final battle.

POL-and will not be getting an official campaign world book.

I'll try to post more as I remember it. I forgot to take notes.

**EDIT**

D&D Encounters starting with the current Evards story line and the next season will get additional expansion/follow-ups via Dungeon adventures.

They are looking at doing D&D Encounters of higher level ranges.

Dang it. I am gearing up for a TOEE 4e game this summer... I am converting the original with some additional stuff from the computer RPG.

Welp, I guess I will forge ahead with my version and see what they come up with...

I will be all over that Temple of Elemental Evil prequel like a fat chick on an all you can eat chocolate cupcake buffet. Now that I'm excited about, especially if the do it the way I think they will with a boxed set.

Delicious.

Sort of. It was Revenge of the Giants, but I think it wasn't a conversion but more of a thematic step-child.

Thematic in many ways, but it did have three separate giant steddings in which to adventure. I think it may have more in common with the 2E "Against the Giants" silver edition book which had the converted adventures plus a bunch of extra locations around Geoff.

I think I'm more excited about the buffet now than the anything Perkins might have said.

I remember something else. Chris said that they are going to be trying out new formatting in adventure layouts. He said that they are going to try something more cohesive then the delve format. Reduce page flipping and all the info needed in one place.

Can I just mention that Comicpalooza was awesome? SRM, Chris Simms, Chris Perkins, and Ari Marmell are stand-up gentlemen. Can't wait until it'll be big enough to be considered the GenCon of the South.
