City Survivor!- Round 1

For the gods, in their wisdom, agreed that the city was LAME. And lo!! From the depths of the Abyss, to the Height of the Seven Heavens, through Sigil, the Far Realm, and even stranger places, the call rang out "UNION IS LAME AND SHOULD BE DESTROYED!!"

A swift attack by experts in logic and rhetoric convinced the inhabitants of Union of the inherent contradictions of the city. Therefore, Union disappeared in a puff of rainbow colored logic and the Multiverse rejoiced.

I don't know who to vote for. I don't know most of the cities. I know which one I'd vote for "least liked (by me)" but in a rumble, Sigil probably wins, with Union and Waterdeep also having a very high number of extremely high level individuals.

So, the polls are saying that Union, the island city detailed in the EPIC LEVEL HANDBOOK, full of EPIC LEVEL NPCs, shapechanged dragons, Union Sentinels (also Epic level), etc. would be the first one defeated?!

Come again??? How does that make sense?!

Maybe they've grown complacent with their Epic-levelness and thus fail to recognize when a consortium of Yugoloths from Sigil sneak in and take over?

In any event, I voted Palanthas. Those guys practically laid down and opened the gates to the Dragonarmy when they arrived. Wet their pants at the sight of a floating castle.

What, no City State of the Invincable Overlord? Not worth voting!

Completely forgot about that one (not that I know much about it). Forgot to include Blackmoor, too, now that I think of it.

There were quite a few cities that might have made the cut, but ultimately, I just pared the list down to something more manageable (and the ones I felt were most recognizable) for efficiency's sake. And because it's just sort of a fun thread.

Maybe next season of City Survivor!

Union. It is interesting in its own right, but as far as planar metropolises go, I prefer Sigil.

It's not like they were going to take votes away from Union. Maybe they just earned a bye to the second round and could appear then? May as well, I doubt we'll see another City Survivor anytime soon.
