Class Acts: Greatweapon Fighter

I think we've reached a consensus about warding steel but what about the rest of the article?

There's a lot of interesting, cinematic powers in this article. The Str -2 for additional Con modifier damage is an interesting trade-off. Line in the Sand is awesome, for some reason I love this power; maybe its because its the fighter's only zone power, or maybe its just the image I have of it in my head.

Also, between Scrappy (its a nice feat that gets better than the versatile property that it replaces) and Small Warrior's Defense from last month's issue, you can make yourself a pretty nice Small fighter if you juggle the stats and want to pay two feats (which are worth it IMO).

Finally, I think that the fighter is done...at least for a while. Come on designers, lets pay this much attention and bring the awesome to some other lucky class!

I did like some of the powers that let you hit one guy, knock him back, then charge him for a finishing blow.

Not such a fan of losing attack bonus though.

Agreed. Personally I think teh Warlord is rather shabby. The 'lock could also use some straightening up.

I like those powers too; as for the Str - 2 powers, well I see where they were going and while I'd probably take a power or two, I definitely wouldn't load up on them.

Personally, I was thinking the artificer. At least the Warlord and Warlock have their power source books.

I actually think that the artificer is an under-rated class. What it really needs is some more PPs and feats, but that's a discussion for another thread.
Oh, that's what I meant. I actually like the artificer.

Just, compare the amount of support the Swordmage has received versus the Artificer. Granted, the Swordmage has been out a year longer, but still.

I would also like to see some additional support for the Artificer.
On topic, I think this article does a good job of making the great weapon fighter interesting again. That one utility though raises my red flags.
(I don't think I'll tell my players about it ;))

I think the Artificer needs more than an article with a few powers.
I agree with this one absolutely. I have one in my online War of the Burning Sky 4e game (MapTools) and he has such a smaller selection of coolness than other classes. :p :D

Yeah, I can't see how that power is balanced. I look for an errata in the final published copy.
Do you mean final copy of Dungeon at the end of the month, or something else later on and the compendium gets updated. (Like some Customer Service question that got elevated and a clarification was made.)
