Honestly, you don't want to hear our advice. Your DM needs to take 4 characters from the Sultan's of Smackdown and wipe the floor with you. Turn about IS fair play.

The other option is to realize that the Prestige Class is unbalanced and rework it some. Like drop the spontaneous casting how it is and maybe you can spontaneous cast one spell from your domains per level as stated above.

Also, about the figter VS you...he's suppose to woop but in combat that is what his job is. You are a spell slinger and healer, and should be good at that. I don't see why the rest of your party just doesn't mimick your character and tactics...

The truth is while the Prestige class is powerful, probably over the top powerful, I don't see it as the problem in this situation. The massive buffing and the use of excessively powerful spells on a consistant basis is.

Truthfully, were I DMing the game, you would be spending more than one fight sitting out. This assumes several things, you are facing smart opponents, with a lot of magic at their disposal.

Other than out right killing you (and if you are a lot more effective than the rest of your group, you may find yourself in the same position as the BBEG in your DM campaign) there are ways that will effectively neutralize you. Maze being an easy example. Another one is to make you buff against "lesser opponent" and then make you fight the BBEG seriously depleted on spells. Another Baldur's Gate tactic is the old Wait em out. You buff and the opponent leaves only to attack an hour later.

If you become such a problem to the DM, earned or not, he will begin neutralizing you if he knows what is good for the game. If the DM can not (or will not) find a way to deal with you, I would prepare to start another campaign and never reach the lofty heights (with this DM) of high level again.

I personaly like the idea of a Cleric PrCl that allows Spont Casting of Domain spells BUT it should be limited to the one spell slot per lvl.
Also teh PrCl should have Prereqs that fit the power of the end result of the Class.

In your build, the Cleric has accress to three Domains each up to 9th lvl spells.

Thats 3 ninth lvl spells that you can Spont cast from your 4+1+(Wis) spell slots.

A 17th lvl Sorcerer can ONLY have 3 ninth lvl spells in his known list.

Sorcerer known list at 17th lvl
Levels 0-1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9
Known 9-5-5-4-4-4-3-3-3-3

Cleric Spell slots at 17th lvl
Levels 0-1-----2-----3-----4-----5-----6-----7-----8-----9
Slots 6-5(+1)-5(+1)-5(+1)-5(+1)-4(+1)-4(+1)-3(+1)-2(+1)-1(+1)


THis is without Bonus spells

So you can cast as many known spells as a Sorcerer of you lvl as many times as a Sorcerer of your lvl.

You get 3 known spells of each lvl (the same as a Sorcerer spell lvls 6-9).
And get Domain powers plus Spont Cure casting and a full alotment of perpared spells.


So you get the same as a Sorcerer of 17 lvls and can chose to cast your prepared spells in a since getting MORE known spells per lvl then a Sorcerer of your lvl AND can cast IN FULL PLATE ARMOR!!!!!!

No very powerful??!!
This PrCl just made the Sorcerer Core class obsolete at lvl 6.
