cleric tactics

miracle has no xp cost when duplicating a spell, and spont casting domain spells works exactly the same as a healing spont casting, i swap out a prepared spell for a domain spell of the same or lower level.
so, other than a new character, which i'm considering (a rogue/bard/shadowdancer) what other ideas does anyone have?

as for having lots of goodies, my character owns:
+3 fullplate
+3 buckler
+1 scythe
+4 crossbow
ring of free action
ring of undead turning
and a large temple.
most of my slots go on greater magic weapon and magic vestment.

1.) Cheesy prestige classes are the DMs fault. He should have said no when you asked.
2.) You have a bunch of buff spells on, either you waste 4 rounds of every combat casting them, or your DM has foolishly allowed persistant spell, in which case it is his own fault.

I don't know what Assasins Senses is, but I'm guessing it's another cheesy spell from some 3rd party source. Easy enough to say no to.

Miracle doesn't cost XP for duplicating spells, but still... it's not something you should be throwing around like candy. In the spell description it says "you don't so much cast one as request one". You request a miracle of your diety, and in my mind casting tenser's transformation is not very miraculous. *shrug*

Now, as for destruction ending a combat... fortitude saves are generally BBEG's best saves... why is he failing his save? And even if it's not, he should have some kind of protection on himself. Your DM is letting you be cheesy, but isn't letting his monsters be cheesy... and that just doesn't work.

So... it sounds like your DM is at fault for allowing cheesy non-core stuff into the game (and you are at fault for using it). So either there needs to be some revisionist history, or the DM needs to buff his enemies a bunch.

However, letting the monsters be cheesy in turn often has the side-effect of making things excessively difficult for the other characters. In general, any situation where one character massively outpaces the others tends to be bad for group harmony.

Ah. Time Stop. Nice. Ouch. Ehehehe.

Guess you meant Righteous Might, Tenser and Divine Power at once is a waste of spell slots.

tensers under 3.0 provides a stacking BAB bonus, and the prestige class is the dms own homebrew effort, which provides some nice stuff, but is not that overpowered.
i tend not to have time to pull off a miracle in combats unless i have to, but you gotta admit that 17d6 extra hit points and a whole bunch of combat bonuses is hard to turn down.
righteous might under 3.0 isnt that exciting, a +4 strength bonus and a weapon enlargement in return for a round of casting, a 4th level spell and a -1 to hit and ac isnt wonderful.

Ah. 3.0. Oooook.

Assassins Sense: Rituals & Relics? Crazy spell.

Well. Everything you said just confirms the abovementioned opinion of the board posters that your DM allowed a lot of crazy stuff and now it's too much for his taste. Speak with him and go drink some beer.

Ahh, trickery domain. Still, that *should* only be possible once per day. You're burning a ton of 8th and 9th level spells... That's exactly what high level clerics do, they can make themselves monsters for one combat a day (or every combat if they have persistant spell). But compare that to the evoker casting a ton of meteor swarms and quickened empowered scorching rays, and you're peanuts.

You're at a level where things should be kicking your butt, even with all that stuff.

Edit: And you should upgrade to 3.5, they fixed a lot of stupidness at high levels (not all of it, of course, but a bunch of it).

we're upgrading to 3.5 in a few weeks when this campaign ends. we've played since 1st level, under 3rd ed, so we'll continue to do so until the new campaign.
the new campaign is core books and dragonlance campaign setting only, but seeing as 3 of the group had the relics and rituals books we decided we'd use them, although a bunch of spells got banned. stone bolt especially, after my kender killed a pair of dragons with the concussion effect. stunned them over an ocean, they got knocked prone and fell out of the sky, stunned and helpless, sadly, they couldn't swim or breathe water. the spell got instantly banned.
