Hah...ferretguy was one of my Rolemaster/MERP players for about 5 years.Dwarven Druid...(slaps dave).

Perhaps I should go ahead and use a great club too.....

3rd level sounds good to me, I could always have a 1st level in fighter to go with the background anyway.....now I'm gunna have to look up old fallen dwarven strongholds arrgghhh...

Looked up the sight Hellbender, looks ok with me (after all no changes to the dwarves...but then again its hard to change that which is made by stone :) ), the only question being will I also have to alternate fighter class with druid or can I just stick with druid?

Garyh, remember way back when I invited you to play in RL with my group? ferretguy is one of my gamerbuds.

That's cool! You should get out to our next gameday, too, Uriel - it'll be in the Bay Area, I believe.

Say, my very first pen and paper RPG product wasn't D&D, it was a MERP boxed set. :) Still have it, too, along with the Mirkwood guide.

I emailed the good Colonel as well and will see if he anything to say. Here is a timeline link below as well. I am thinking of beginning in Second Age 1550, Numenor has been established, as has Eregion. The Rings of Power are about to make an appearance and the One Ring has yet to be forged. The creatures that have survived the destruction of Angband have settled in various areas of Middle-Earth, some biding their time, some quite active.

hellbender

So, if I have it right, these are the possible PC's:

mirthcard: ???
uriel: Noldo Paladin
ferretguy: dwarven druid
Festy_Dog: ???
rangerjohn: Dunadan ranger
Inez Hull: ???
Ankh-Morpork Guard: Sindarin Ranger
garyh: ???

3rd level is fine with me. I'm considering a disciple (cleric), a fighter/cleric, a bard or a fighter/bard (bannerman)...

EDIT: I'm starting to lean towards a Dunadan Bard.

EDIT AGAIN: ...but I'm still considering a Cleric or Fighter/Cleric... I'm so undecisive... I think... ;)

So, this is the accumulated info on the Noldor. What sort of stat lowering etc... would you want to do.
Obviously only the attribiute points, as the rest are 'Elf' traits.

As well, how do you feel about multiclassing Paladin with, say, Bard (at later levels, of course). I may go Bard instead, as I really like them and a Noldor Bard has a certain ring to it.

Noldor
Str+2, Dex+2, Con+2, Int+2, Wis+2, Chr+4

+2 racial bonus on Perform (Sing) checks
+4 racial bonus on any Craft skill of the player's choice - it should be noted that Noldor were legendary for their work with precious metals and jewelry
Noldor glow with a faint luminescence
Automatic Languages: Sindarin, Quenya, Westron
+2 racial bonus to resist fire or heat
+2 racial bonus against poison
+2 racial bonus Listen, Search, and Spot checks
Immune to natural cold
Immune to disease, mundane or magical
Immune to scarring
Movement unimpeded by snow or wooded terrain
Immune to any fear effects caused by undead
Cannot be turned into undead
Can communicate silently with other Elves, and Maiar and Valar, by direct thought. This is similar to the psionic power Mindlink.

ECL+3

I think I'll stick to Sindar Ranger. I can deal with the +2 ECL. Was thinking about Bard...but I can't pull off a Bard too well. Hmm...this looks like it'll be a very interesting group. :)

If you're intersted in a bard, by all means go for it. A disciple or disciple/fighter is looking pretty cool.

I would said take 3 of these away and they get added back at 8th, 13th and 18th level. Sound fair to you? I am using Savage Species as a bit of a gauge on this.
